We have tried using generic bags with our Food Saver. None of the other bags we have used work as well as these. I believe it might be because of the texturing on one side. All bags we have used/made have sealed properly. Worth the extra bit of money to not have any waste.

Doesn't seal properly if you push vac and let it run to end. You will have leaks if there is a tiny bit of moisture. Works good if you hit the seal button manually after vac. Is mine just defective or is this normal.

The width might be a little small for some bigger items, however you can cut whatever length you need so it's still good for most things. Plastic is good and strong and not a bad value. The local stores charge quite a bit more so it's worth the wait for delivery.

These bags work very well. They will puncture on sharper contents and release the vacuum seal. I punctured mine on coiled dry spaghetti but it did work well for straight spaghetti.
