Answer: No. Each sheet weighs less than one ounce. I'd guess between 1/4 & 1/2 oz per sheet. Very lightweight. (If you have to answer "not sure"...why bother answering?)

Answer: "Shipping weight" is 1 lb. because that is based on shipping rates, and 1 lb. is usually the minimum.

Answer: The heated air from the dehydrator and fan flows over and under the Teflon sheets. I use them for drying very small herbs and other items that tend to disintegrate and/or fall through the sheets with larger holes. They are effective. The Teflon sheet is very thin and pliable.

Is the golbalis product bpa free?

Answer: The Globalis sheets are Teflon, which is PTFE. A number of articles exist that explain what Teflon is, but it does not contain BPA. Also, the dehydrator would not get hot enough to cause Teflon to break down, and one never uses scrapers on the Teflon sheets to scratch them.

Answer: We ordered them for fruit dehydration. I would use the grated style for better air flow.

The size of my dehydrator trays are 12" x 15". Can I make these work?

Answer: I haven't used this particular sheet, so I can't say for sure. As the description shows: these are 14" x 14" Teflon, so you could probably trim one side to help it fit the 12" side, if you are unable to locate one that is made to fit for your trays.

Answer: They are more of a liner than a pass through for air. My intent was to use them with a fan for drying fruits, but they are solid liners and nothing passes through them. So, yes, they are liner sheets

Answer: Yes. they are somewhat like a thin Silat sheet. Use them wash them and reuse. They work great for small veggies or something with a wet consistency to prevent dripping on lower trays. Great for fruit leathers. we love ours. I have used mine for about 2 years.

Answer: I have not. I used them for drying fine or liquidy herbs, fruits and vegetables. They may work. I do not have a micrometer, but they are thin and very flexible. They wash well. They may work for heat transfer, however dehydrators don't go much higher than 200 degrees indirect heat.

Answer: Yes. There are no holes or cuts in the sheets. My dehydrator is rectangular shape so I cut them to fit and cut a hole in them as well. They are good quality though.

Answer: These square Teflon food dehydrator sheets are made for the Excalibur dehydrators which have square shelves that slide into preformed slots in the dehydrator. There is no center hole opening. The sheets are washable, and very durable.

i was skeptical if these would work well in my dehydrator but for the price i figured i could take a chance. they are great! super smooth and lay nice and flat on the racks. perfect fit and much easier to use than the net style ones i have been using. i made fruit leather and it peels right off and gives a smooth shiny finish. i also used for drying turmeric slices which are notorious for staining everything orange and the mats washed right up clean as new. no more little bits falling through, and no more wasteful parchment paper. i highly recommend this if you use your dehydrator a lot. package says you can also use in the oven up to 400 degrees so i'll be trying that next.

I purchased these in lieu of the expensive Excalibur sheets and have been very happy with them. Dehydrated watermelon for fruit rollups and they did great. The watermelon stuck a little bit, but I think I tried to remove them too late and they came apart somewhat. But, I got a whole 10 lb watermelon in my dehydrator on these sheets and they cleaned up perfectly. No sticking with other items and sticky things. Great bargain! Too bad they are out of stock now. I would like to have some more to set back in case these are damaged. I've had them for over a year with a lot of use and they still function as advertised. Ditch the Excalibur Paraflexx sheets and get these instead. You'll be glad you did.

I bought a 9 tray dehydrator off amazon, the Gormia is great at a good price a few months ago along with these liners. I knew I would have to cut them to fit. I was nervous to try to cut them to size fearing I would ruin many of them. I carefully measured my tray and marked the dimensions on my liner and of course I did something wrong and it didn't fit. Then I decided to place my liner on top of my tray and use my fingernail to score the liner to perfect size, I used my fingernail to trace the inside of my dehydrator tray. Doing this made a perfectly visible mark. I used my scissors to easily cut on the score lines and now my liners fit. Nothing sticks to them. they are washable and I think they help my items dry quicker. I was stupid enough to use WAX PAPER to line my trays for months, Don't do it!! Because my trays were 9 1/4 x 8 3/4 inches I managed to piece together 4 extra liners. I recommend these liners. But I must say I have only used these and wax paper in my dehydrator no other brand of liners.

Cheep and way thinner and lower quality than the original Excalibur sheets, though not completely bad or waste of money .These nine sheets altogether cost a little more than one Excalibur sheet. The edges of these sheets start flapping from the air flow in the dehydrator, if nothing is on the edges, and t hey make noise like bird wings. They get permanently stained easily. I use them only when I have heavy food items, and the sheets are covered completely, so they could not flap and toss the food around.

Very good product at a good price. This fits my 9 tray Excalibur 3900B dehydrator perfectly.

To use the product just remove the plastic mesh from the tray and drop in the non-stick sheet. The sheets also fit perfectly at the bottom of the dehydrator for storage and to clean up any drips.

These sheets work very well with my Excalibur 9 tray dehydrator. The sheets fit the trays perfectly so nothing falls through and makes a mess in the dehydrator. They wash easily too. If food sticks, just soak the sheets in water for a short time, sponge them off and they're as good as new.
