What is the diameter and length?

Answer: Hi there, Its not round its an oval, the widest part is like 2 inches and it´s 15,5 inches length. works pretty good as long as you let it burn on flame 15 minutes before put it into the smoker, if not it tuns off and stops smoking.

Answer: Yes, both the 6 and 12" are not limited by heat since they are made from stainless steel. However, the smoke pellets are wood and will combust or burn rapidly at higher temperatures.
