Costanzinator : Doesn't work

Doesn't burn in a spiral pattern. Started off burning the outside ring, checked it two hours later and it was burning straight across, embers totally ignoring the SS mesh between the rings.

I didn't think it would work and damned if I wasn't right. Maybe it's user error? I kind of doubt it.
