Answer: I don't know. It is 20 inches long and possibly 1/8 inches thick.

Answer: About an 1/8" think where the handle meets the blade. The blade is study and flimsy at the same time. Cutting and slicing it is strong. But a forward thrust and or push will cause it to bend.

Answer: This thing is solid and I have no doubt that it will hold up to anything you throw at it!

Answer: It's not meant for throwing.

Answer: The blade can be removed from the handle. It is connected by two bolts and nuts which can be unscrewed, enabling the blade to be pulled out. (Mine was rather a tight fit and difficult to get back in.) The handle is one solid peace and, unless broken, cannot be disassembled further.

How long is a shoulder harness?

Answer: The strap of the harness is 51 inches when fully extended but can be shortened and is connected to the sheath portion for 21" The sheath portion runs 3 1/2" by 29 3/4" with a taper the last 6 inches to a point. The blade cover ends at 20 3/4" but there is a clasp 1" from the top to secure the handle.

Answer: It's high carbon steel that is coated. A type of metal lacquer to protect the blade from unfriendly elements.

Unfortunately, Mine came with a slight warp..
I like the brand and will probably get another because I’m sure this was a fluke. I’ll use this one as a beater, I just wish the quality control would have caught this before sending out.

Great blade for the price. Also much sharper than I realized. I managed to get my finger pretty good. The balance is a little different from typical blades, but that's expected. Overall very satisfied.

The weapon is sharp and light and the handle is comfortable. The weapon length isn’t long enough though, just wielding it I want a couple more feet of weapon as this current setup even holding the blade at the base of the handle is about the length of a standard katana.

MajorT : GREAT HISTORICAL DESIGN AND REAL POWERFUL WEAPON

Yes! What a nice Thai Gladius sword with a hard to find style. This is like a Cold Steel machete sword; and that is a very good thing! I have many machete swords and Damascus swords and just alloy steel blades. But I always desire swords that are able to be able for real battles and not just good looking wall hangers. I don’t use my swords as my go to self defense item when I here that noise late at night. I collect bladed forms of the beautiful art of steel throughout history. This is a great addition. And if you are in a jam and had to use this as a real defense weapon; you would have a powerful tool. The price is so good for the quality design and make. Immediately hung next to a Damascus Roman Gladius one handed sword of a much higher price. My preference is for a two handed sword or historical weapon. But I really had not seen this exact design even though it has been in the pages of history. Get this one for sure!

i bought this with the explicit intemt of modifying it to suit my purposes. the sheath is kinda cr@p but i usually end up making my own anyway...

took it apart to measure the tang then cut the handle down to a more (for me) managable length. use it as a machete for land-clearing type work. has stood up to over 3 months of use so far. worth it.
