Does this light the wood?

Answer: You put the wood inside the canister and light it from the bottom to produce the smoke that blows into your grill to add the smoke flavor onto your food.

Answer: You have to loosen a side screw knob near the bottom, remove the bottom cap and light the wood chips inside. Any flame would work however I use a propane torch for maybe a minute, replace the vented cap and watch it smoke.

Answer: No. You light and burn smoking wood in this device.

Answer: If you mean any wood in your Kamodo, no.

Answer: No, you need a torch.

What is the fuel source used here?

I just recieved the Smoke Daddy attachment for my Green Egg and discovered that I may have to modify the plate section that was suppose to drop right into the vent slid track. The attachment is made up of two flat stamp assemblies and does not match the rounded green egg vent track. Do I have the correct attachment or …

Is smoke daddy compatible with joe kamado bbq ?

Does this work with a Traeger pellet grill?

Answer: I was able to get one installed on Traeger with no problem. I did have to make a hole for it though which was pretty easy as well. So yes it worked with mine. A much needed improvement.

Are you in the works of coming out with a new model (Magnium PI) in the next month or so?

Answer: No we have no plans of coming out with a newer model

You mention all night smoking, but the description says "the magnum p.i.g. will smoke up to 4 hours on a single load". is all night now 4 hours?

Answer: Hi, I do apologize if the description sounds misleading. I will change this to "longer smoking time".

Answer: Yes we have one for cold smoking only with our green egg. Haven't tried it yet though. Good luck with yours.

David Vernon : Easy to install, and good quality

I was looking to add smoke to my beloved pellet smoker. I love my Camp Chef Woodward smoker but it wasn't producing the smoke that i wanted but love the temperature control it has. So I researched for a product to add and came across the Smoke Daddy. I had it up and running in 15 minutes and at the time of this review i have used it over 12 times. I love it, it has brought the smoke ring back to my ribs and pulled pork. It is so easy to use, I put maybe 5-6 pieces of charcoal in it and light it with a torch. It takes maybe 1.5 minutes to light the charcoal and i put wood chips on it and go. The first time i used it i used more charcoal than needed and it got very hot (of course) but had no issues with it. I refill it on an average of once an hour. Just lift the top and drop in a handful of wood chips. It has not clogged on me, but can tell after about 5 uses it needs to be cleaned. (some might say sooner) The only little issue is that i had intended to permanently install the pump to the leg of the smoker but it would place the hose directly on the generator. I'm concerned It would melt. So I'm working on a way to do so without it touching the generator.

If you can't tell, I highly recommend this for any pellet grill.

I love this thing. It really produces some nice smoke. It was a little tricky mounting it on my gas grill, but with some additional hardware to plumb through two panels(15" run) I am seeing very little heat at the grill. I even smoked some cheese on a 66 degree F morning and two hours later when pulling the cheese off the grill the chamber had only raised to 67 degrees. Now I can get the smoke regardless of cook temperature. I can remove it easily to store it or to use it elsewhere in just a couple minutes--- Like maybe that old refrigerator for a custom cold smoker or when the time comes to upgrade. Really nice product.
