Really enjoying this. Purchased it for a small friendly tournament I decided to participate in. I have almost nothing bad to say about this other than it’s a little hard to store in my back pack (Jansport). But if you carry it around somewhere else or in an actual tackle bag, you probably won’t have this problem.

Aaron heninger : Its defective , the bump on the end it was stiff and the plastic started to crack and pull apart .
It's nice that it folds up . the bump doesn't work right on mine , if I fold it back down it may break . if you plan on using this with out a surface under it you will need to mount it on sumthing to support the weight of the fish and the board . It will not support any weight without folding up on it self.

I am an avid Rapala lure fan; so, yes, maybe I'm a little biased. But I have bought Rapala stainless scissors and they are by far the best I've ever bought and I bought many brands. So, I thought I would try their fish measuring stick. What a great purchase! It is very sturdy and fits neatly in my flats boat out of the way. it has a great little flap on the end at zero inches so that you can snug the fish's nose right up to the zero point. That's a great feature that I've seen on no other measuring stick that is foldable.
Some of the fish in our area like sea trout and redfish have a lower slot limit of less than 20 in so I won't even need to open it up to measure them. I'm a catch a release person but sometimes I have a friend with me who might want to eat a fish and so I need to measure it. Spend the extra couple of bucks you'll be happy you did.
