Answer: you have to push each end at the bottom edge of the top at the same time "hard". then you should hear 2 clicks and it should be locked.

Answer: Thanks for your question. The roll holder is 2.36 inches in diameter and 11.81 inches in width. It can hold rolls up to 11.81 x 196 inches. The free exact-long roll we provide is 11.81 x 118 inches. Hope this can help you.

Can this seal mylar bags?

Answer: It could, but I wouldn’t suggest it. They’d melt through. The bags they use are about 4 times or more as thick.

Answer: I use only roll bag material, and by the time I seal the bag and cut the next one it is ready for use. I have never used preformed bags, so I don't really know exactly. I would speculate that it doesn't really need to cool down. Obviously if you were doing 10 or so in rapid succession it would probably be good to give it a couple of minutes.

Answer: The vacuum case you are referring to, simply lifts out for washing. It is a "catch tray" for liquids coming out as the vacuum process occurs. Your manual will explain the dangers of laying your bag on it's side during the vacuum process. Yes they are easily cleaned

B. Miller : Won't seal the bags every time

I'm sending it back, won't seal the bags every time. If there is any kind of moisture or anything where the seal is going to be, it won't melt the plastic together. Clean and dry bags work fine, any thing else, nope. The suction is good, but the fact that it won't seal anything but pristine bags is a no go for me. I have a old, cheap Rival vacuum sealer that will seal those bags just fine. Once I used them side by side, this one had to be returned.

The cutter broke in the first week. This thing does not close the seal for wet or dry. You will have to double seal for most sous vide meals or to vacuum your meats. It’s a bottom barrel option. Spend more and get more. Unfortunately, I am going to buy a higher end model and eat the cost of this unit. Lesson learned. Even when sealed there is air, you will find this out the hard way.
I had hoped for a quality product but this is not worth tour time unless you are on a budget.
Double sealed and bag steamed, the suction is so bad that the bag puffed up double the size. Run, don’t walk away from this product.

I have not experienced the problems some are writing about. Occasionally the open end of the bag must be repositioned in the sealing area to draw a vacuum but that really is not a big deal. I have had no problem sealing either dry or wet packages. Have also used it to reseal heat sealed packages from the grocery store like cheese slices or bags of nuts...

I am really bad about leaving reviews. I wanted to take the time because I’ve purchased a few vacuum sealers before buying this one. One of them being the food saver sealer. (Which ended up in the goodwill pile about a month after purchasing). This sealer works great, it has great suction, is compact for storage, easy to clean and they send you extra seals for replacement. Although I haven’t had to use them yet. There is a bag cutter on the unit and it holds a roll of bags inside. You will not be disappointed with this sealer.

I had to figure it out, have to use both palms to hit top sides to clamp down to seal. It sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. It seemed to work fine in the beginning, I was able to vac seal a pork shoulder but now having difficulty with vacuum sealing meats. The vac is not as strong as it was when I purchased it a few weeks ago. I am going to keep trying. This is my first sealer and have no other brand to compare it with. I like the cutter feature though.

I cook with a sous vide and this sealer allows me to vacuum seal with marinade. Compact, lightweight and very convenient storage for rolls.

1. No US presence for ANY spare parts, including the sliding bag cutter - 1 extra included w the machine, but only lasted 2 months before it became dull & broke. Contacted seller through Amazon, but they don't handle or sell spares.
2. Does NOT come with the plastic vacuum tray to collect overflow of any moist food products. Gray colored tray is clearly shown as a necessary part of the machine in several video by the supplier & influencers. I contacted seller & received another machine - again, with no tray!
3. This machine is very touchy for how the bag is clamped. If not perfectly aligned with the gaskets, vacuuming process will NOT work. This problem may be shared with all vacuum sealers of this design.
