Answer: I have never tried it but I don't think so. I think you can only seal the bags that are made for a vacuum sealer. I think the sealing bar would get to hot for a potato chip bag.

Doesnt vacum seal properly no matter how you try , i used different bags and it always leaves a air inside, you can use this for sous vide if you seal it properly but i wouldnt recomend it for storing food

It doesn't provide complete suction but it does okay. It's extremely loud. My favorite part is that you can put your roll in the machine, seal how much you need & it has a cutter that cuts the bag! No more uneven seams with scissors. Overall, I think it's a good product.

I was only able to seal 3 bags. I worked vacuum sealing bags with yeast. I could notice that some yeast grains got into the vacuum system, and I thought there would be no problems as it was designed even for a liquid pass through, but on the fourth bag the device started blowing air instead of sucking.
The worst of all is that I have not been able to contact the manufacturer (Bosenkitchen) despite writing to them through the addresses that appear in the instructions. Nor have I been able to contact them by phone. Every time I call they tell me that the operators are busy and if I want to leave a message. After 4 calls, I decided to leave the message. More than 2 weeks have passed, and I have not received a return call or email.
The after-sales service is depressing.

I really have wanted one for such a long time so when I went to use it it seems like the bags weren’t stealing property and I wasted a lot of plastic but I slow down take my time a little bit and it helped a lot

I have not experienced the problems some are writing about. Occasionally the open end of the bag must be repositioned in the sealing area to draw a vacuum but that really is not a big deal. I have had no problem sealing either dry or wet packages. Have also used it to reseal heat sealed packages from the grocery store like cheese slices or bags of nuts...

Easy to use, takes up little space on my counter top. Great product, especially for the cost! Works just as good as the Food Saver brand for a fraction of the cost (even uses their brand of plastic if you have any left over from after their machine fails you!)

There is a bump on the middle of the lower seal (which I didn't realize at the beginning).
After using it several times, the bump came up and it left an air gap after sealing.

I am really bad about leaving reviews. I wanted to take the time because I’ve purchased a few vacuum sealers before buying this one. One of them being the food saver sealer. (Which ended up in the goodwill pile about a month after purchasing). This sealer works great, it has great suction, is compact for storage, easy to clean and they send you extra seals for replacement. Although I haven’t had to use them yet. There is a bag cutter on the unit and it holds a roll of bags inside. You will not be disappointed with this sealer.

Looks great and is the only one I found where you can store the bags right inside, but did not work. I called the company who had me email to get a new one, but it never came and I never got any progress emails to tell me where they were on sending the new one so I just returned it. Sad, because I had high hopes!

I love my vacuum sealer!! My children say I don’t need any of these newer machines because I don’t have the brain power to work any of them without them giving me a class but with my vacuum sealer I was working it without them, bye the time they came over I was sealing as they say everything in my house that’s how easy it is to use; the suction power is great. Now my children ask me why I let the grandkids open things I know they aren’t going to eat it all, then it hit them I can use my vacuum sealer.????????????
