Answer: It’s not reel loud lol. It is loud enough for you to hear. It can be turned off or on. I really like the ones I have. I hope that this helped

I also have Penn,Abu Garcia and Okuma along with the Ming Yangs. I was skeptical about the Ming Yang when I bought it. My friends all have them. I now have 3 and will probably purchase another. I can't believe that these reels are under $100...I have owned tons of abu's and they are great but these reels are in the same class...I think the abu's look nicer but these mingyang's have a great drag and are silky smooth...I greased and oiled mine straight out of the box and they really are as smooth as $150 reels...The best $50 I have ever spent...Try one.
