I wasn't able to get through a summer of freshwater fishing without the bearings sticking up, making the retrieval jerky and the reel ultimately unusable. It's collecting dust in the garage at the moment; I'll open it up at some point and see about cleaning out the internal gears and bearings, but who wants to do that? You shouldn't have to.

This reel is very smooth and casts well. Two things that I found, it is bigger than I thought it would be, which is not a killer, but most importantly, the drag setting is not very adjustable. Just catching blue gills the drag had to be set almost totally on as far as it will go or the reel just spins. Should have more variation in the adjustment.. If I catch a big bass with this reel I doubt I would be able to reel it in as the drag would never be able to be set tight enough.

OK got this reel in today been looking for a Spincast reel to fish for smaller fish I’m about burn our with zebco’s and Daiwa keeps getting higher and higher. I thought I would take a chance on this real I got it in the mail today and took it apart piece by piece and I have to say I am really impressed.
Updated 7-22-21 Ok had a problem with reel wanting to bind up reeling hard, when I would take line pickup spool off it reeled easy. I noticed the rod when you push your button in that pushes your line pick up, up to cast was needing oiled mine starting binding up after about 8 hours of use, so its something you will need to oil regularly. Reel is still working great Cast a mile, have even talked with the company super people.
I fish for musky but at times use these for crappie and pan fish.
Of course I took it a part thats what men do and checked it out and I will have to say Im impressed, built like a tank and even was loaded with good grease. I loved the double pickup and the way you can take the reel apart with only a pocket knife.
I have not got to use it yet but I love the way it fits in my hand and I don’t feel like I’m holding a piece of junk I’ve used Diawa reels $$ and I can already tell this equipment is build better. It even has a strip of metal over the inside of the thumb button most reels thumb button are plastic and it wears a hole or breaks. I casted it in the yard with a light light bait and worked perfect. I will update when used for a while. I see no reason you can’t get thousands of cast, the drag was perfect. The case is metal and all fits tight. It fits perfect in your hand and also has sealed SS bearings no junk here. It says it can be used in salt water.
Anyway I’ll be watching maybe I can get another one on a lightning deal because I’m a cheapskate LOL
