Answer: I don't remember who I bought it from or how much I paid for it. Just know it's a good reel for my Spey rod and the price was not outrageous. My question is why are all the others do expensive?

I love fishing this reel. For anyone used to cast reels the machined aluminum is a good step up. The drag is stronger than I will need and the weight feels great. The reel is mid-arbor so keep that in mind to make sure it matches your application. Pfleuger has the Patriarch with a large arbor if you need that. I fish this reel primarily in salt with a RIO Coastal Quickshooter XP line and 25# braid backing. Reel is holding up great to use.

Will : Lightweight, durable reel

I’ve been using this reel for a little over two years, and it has held up great. I’ve dropped it on rocks and even submerged it in saltwater, and it is still in near perfect condition. The drag is not sealed, but it has held up much better in saltwater than one of my reels with a “sealed” drag system. Would strongly recommend this reel.
