can you use this net as a wading staff?

Answer: Yes. Just yesterday I did just that while wading on the Rogue In Oregon.

Answer: You might damage the handle (abrasion) over time but it is quite strong.

Answer: In a pinch, but the hoop is not really sturdy enough to be leaned on, so be careful.

I have had the net for about a year. Something has gone wrong with the rubber on the handle. It is supper sticky and broken down. Not sure if it can handle the heat in our area. I am careful to not leave in the boat and always put in the garage. Not sure what is up with it.
