Answer: I had the same question and after talking to Navionics (who didn't know) and posting the question - never got an answer. I ordered the maps and they work fine (and had nothing about "Blue" on them).

Does the card include tennessee. Its not includes on the picture but it is on navionics website and on the package of the one at cabelas.

Answer: I had the same question because I also live in Tennessee. I spoke to Navionics today and they informed me Tennessee is covered in BOTH the East and South regions in Hotmaps. Said that was something they implemented a while ago, and regardless of when you buy the product you have to update it before use. That will ensure all of Tennessee is included, so they say.

Answer: I have a generation 1 HDS 7 & 8. The Navionics card works much better (much more detail) than the map program that Lowarance provides as standard or even with the optional hd upgrade. Navionics is the way to go, at least for fishing.

I also decided to renew a subscription on another card for $99 which gives me 365 days of updates if I needed it with navionics+. there are a lot of features on these maps that I don't use but what I do I really like them.

Great detail on lakes and rivers that have been surveyed, but the Alabama river from the confluence with Tombigbee to Claiborne lock and dam are not even on the map. Just shows land, even then base maps installed on electronics show some sort of river

I've used the Premium West Lake Map which is great, but the Platinum takes the detail to a greater level. I used it on my Lowrance HDS-8 Gen I and have some lag time when zooming or navigating around the map. Possibly Gen II devices would give better performance. You'll want the biggest screen possible to take full advantage of the map's detail.

Plastic packaging was shattered when I received it but had no ill effect on the chip.

I have an HDS 8 Insight first generation. These maps are so much better. I wish I would have bought then long ago. Much better idea if what I am fishing. Extremely accurate. It does load a little slow. It is worth it though. No problem with redrawing the bottom as I run along the lake. If you fish much, this is with the money. I bought it to help me learn the deep bite and locate fish. It also helps target shallow humps and drops that I have fished around for years without knowing that they were there.
