Answer: yes, they have barbs, but you can pinch them down. Not the best flies. I had trouble with the whip finish coming untied. Good price.

This selection of fishing flies worked extremely well in the remote Alaskan streams. It is a wide selection which covered most of the hatches that were occurring in late July. Great deal.

These are some beautiful flies. Very well tied, sturdy and no glue in the eyelets. You'll see some of the cheaper Copper Johns with more of a flat body. Not these... they've got a very nice taper. And at just over a dollar each, you can't beat the price. Sure, you could tie them yourself for much cheaper, but tying 18 of these would certainly take me over an hour. And mine wouldn't look near as good as these.

This was my first purchase from Discountflies, but I'm already planning to get my next few batches from them.
