Does this outfit tye any flies in size 6 & or 8?

Answer: They have size 8 included with an assortment of other sizes for their wooly bugger flies. I couldn’t find any others

Are these considered dry or wet flies?

Answer: Pretty much all "nymph" varieties are wet flies. Any fly with a metal bead for a head, as noted on this one, will sink. Many have additional lead wire wrapped along the body of the hook to make it sink right away, hence a wet fly.

Answer: If I recall-it's been a year or so; since I bought them. They came in various sizes from a 12 or 14 hook down to a 20 or so. They worked ok for me when I could'nt pick up their cocoon's on the bottom of the stream, and use live bait.

Are these flies all the same color? They look black.

Answer: They are mostly black but if you google “Prince nymph” and look at images you’ll see that they are colored almost exactly like a large horse fly. They even have some greenish tint woven in.

Answer: They are a cheap collection of flies. They will catch fish. They are good fillers for your fly box (when you can’t tie your own). They are not black

what material is the bead made of? Going to Yellowstone and they are lead-free fishing.

Answer: Possibly lead free, I think it is plastic. The dyes wear off after a couple of days of fishing. Great trout fly though.

I got all 12 flies but I did not understand the word "assortment." While I expected several different types of flies, this is 12 flies of a single pattern. Three each of an "assortment" of four different sizes.

At $9 for a dozen flies, my expectations were low. Bought 5 different patterns and 4 were incredible value. Only the Elk Hare Caddis Brown were dissapointing (inconsistent from fly to fly and not like the picture at all).
Already caught 10+ smallmouth on the Parachutte Adams and confident they will work well for trout too.
Note the hook sizes range from 12-18...half the flies you get are size 16/18 which are tiny and I probably won't use, but I'm still happy with 6 flies for this price.

They start breaking down, as soon as they hit the water. The eyes are not attached to the shafts. The steel of the hooks must have been made from rusty soup cans.

The flies are in great quality. The shipping was quick. They feel and look extremely real. Perfect for the wild trout in Southern California. The one I am holding is the size 14.

Great assortment at a great price. Flies are good quality and last while being fished. This is the biggest flaw of cheap flies. They unravel and turn to junk quickly. These lasted through many fish and long periods of being fished.

While tying on the smallest of the assortment of these flies, the sizes look great BTW, some tugged my line embedding this little fella right into my finger. It sounds counter intuitive, but if you are going to hook yourself, use the largest flies, try as I might, the smallest fly was too complicated to remove on the spot as my trusty multi-tool wasn't precise enough to undress the fly with that wire wrapping, and the wire cutter couldn't get close enough to clip the barb even if I could undress it and push the barb out. I've got to say, very sharp, I bet these land fish!
