Good fillet knife that gets the job done. The only thing I would change is the serrations. The really pointed serrations are more like a saw than a knife and catch on skin, bone and scales some. I would recommend a more rounded serrations for better overall performance.

I very sharp fillet knife is great for filleting fish but when they are dull it can be extremely annoying. This one works great and I think it will continue to work well without sharpening. I still prefer a good sharp fillet knife over the electric though but this can speed up the process.

Worst knife Rapala has ever made. I have used there electric fillet knives for 15 years and this is a bottom of the industry electric knife. It does not have enough power to remove the skin from the fillet. Very disappointing, I am currently searching for another manufacturer of electric fillet knives.

First off this knife worked great! I just pulled it out lastnight to filet my first ice fish catch of this year and the thing wont work like the last time i used it. I dont know whats wrong with the motor but its not even half the speed ot used to be. I did enjoy it when it worked....i didnt use it all summer as i only ice fish. So seems like ot worked for a month and then wont work anymore.

Good only for small jobs. I did a lot of research and all the reviews said that this knife was a beast. I used it to cut cooked BBQ Brisket. The knife lasted through four briskets before it overheated, ran slow and the blades ran dull.

Not a lot of power compaired to my Mister Twister. My MT finally started to go after several seasons of cleaning hundreds of Lake Michigan salmon and thousands of Minnesota walleye and panfish. I went to the sporting goods store up north and wanted to replace it with the same one. They only had the Rapalla so I thought what the heck. They make some of the best knives so I'll get one of those. MISTAKE. This thing boggs down while cleaning crappies. 1/2 the power of my MT.

I've had one of these for about 6 years, I do have a problem getting the blade out to clean them but that started in the last year. I bought both my sons one and myself a spare for when the blades finally stay stuck. I've cleaned Perch, Northern, and Walleyes - and I mean A LOT of walleyes. Not unusual to clean 10-20 walleyes per outing. I fillet and skin with this knife and love it.

Product worked reasonably well for a couple of fishing trips. Then, when filleting a large number of fish, the knife speed slowed but was still running. Afterward, the battery would not charge. I am an electrical engineer, and, after reading the reviews, especially the one star ratings and also the reviews for the replacement battery, I can only conclude that this product has a serious design flaw either in the charging circuitry or that the batteries are poorly made with many , nearly 20% of the reviews, rating the product as one star because of battery problems. That is way too high for a product. I recommend do not buy this product,

The day my knife arrived, I filleted 15 rockfish from 3 to 10 lbs. Knife worked well but the handle woulld get so hot that I had to put it down and let it cool. Other than that, it worked well.
