I very sharp fillet knife is great for filleting fish but when they are dull it can be extremely annoying. This one works great and I think it will continue to work well without sharpening. I still prefer a good sharp fillet knife over the electric though but this can speed up the process.

Good fillet knife that gets the job done. The only thing I would change is the serrations. The really pointed serrations are more like a saw than a knife and catch on skin, bone and scales some. I would recommend a more rounded serrations for better overall performance.

This is a very good knife, especially at this price. I didn't buy it to clean hundreds of fish daily, just a few Bass at a time. I would probably buy one of Rapala's higher end models if I planned to do a lot of fish often.

I thought this knife would do a good job taking the skin off of flounder fillets. It's horrible, and ruined about $30 worth of fish. I hate it. A regular filet knife does a much, much better job.

This knife cleaned about 25 Crappie fine; next day I caught a bunch of white bass. This knife would not fillet an average size white bass. I am thoroughly disgusted and will never buy another Rapala product.

I've had one of these for about 6 years, I do have a problem getting the blade out to clean them but that started in the last year. I bought both my sons one and myself a spare for when the blades finally stay stuck. I've cleaned Perch, Northern, and Walleyes - and I mean A LOT of walleyes. Not unusual to clean 10-20 walleyes per outing. I fillet and skin with this knife and love it.
