Who Would You Choose? 2024

I am going to Lake Okeechobee in a couple of weeks to be a marshal at the B.A.S.S. Elite series tournament. I was thinking about who, if I had the choice, I would like to marshal for. My top three would probably be KVD, Edwin Evers, and Gerald Swindle.
Who would your top three be?

It's hard to pick but your lists are good. I too will be at Okeechobee marshalling. Going down there early and taking my boat to do some fishing before the tournament. Let know if you can break away early in the week to chase some bass.
I have had the pleasure of Marshalling for KVD as well as Casey Ashley. Both are absolutely fantastic to watch and were very professional of course.
I was with KVD on Pickwick 2 yrs ago. Aftet the weigh in we were on our way back to his boat and he was literally surrounded by fans wanting autographs and photos. He turned no one down. No one. It took us 45 minutes to clear the area and get to his boat. He said he did not mind doing it at all, that the fans and their enthusiasm was what it was all about. What a gentleman.
I also was lucky to marshall for Boyd Duckett, Grant Goldbeck (last year on harris chain on Saturday bed fishing with Shaw G. in the canal), Davey Hite, and many others.
They all were happy to explain what they were doing and why. I have learned a lot doing it.

I don't know, I think I would be happy with any of them, Shaw I think would be a lot of fun, Gerald is someone I would love to meet, that dude is nutts in front of the camera, I can only imagine what he would be like in person.

One of the Lane brothers, Scroggins, or a guy like Grigsby. I would want to be there with somebody that really knows the lake. Florida guys fishing one of the most famous Florida lakes = a winning recipe for learning something good.

WMD, I wish I could take you up on that but I won't be there until sometime around noon on Wednesday.
SoFlaBassAddict, I forgot about Big Show Scroggins. He would be a great one. I would also love to spend a day with Shaw Grigsby, but I don't think it would be very entertaining watching him bed fish all day. I sure have enjoyed it every time I have been around him.

There won't be much bed fishing going on Okeechobee for the Elites. The fish have done their thing and are gone from the beds. Post spawn feeding right now. I'm sure if you search around enough you'll still find a couple, but it won't be like last year on the Harris Chain.

I'm going to have to go with Chris Lane on this one. He's won twice on Okeechobee and I imagine he'll be in mix this time around as well.

If you are a B.A.S.S. member you can go to the Bassmaster.com website, pay $100 and sign up.

I would go with ike or Swindle because there downright funny characters. Of course KVD because he's considered the best in the world, any way i dont think you can go wrong with anybody your lucky to be marshall at the top level!

Being a Michigan boy, KVD is obviously my number one choice. I would have trouble choosing two guys, i like Ike, G Man, Evers, The Big Show, Casey Ashely, Kreit, Shaw Grigsby, Hackney, Hite, Chris and Bobby Lane, Kelly Jordan... But honestly getting to ride along with any of the top guys on the Elite Series would be awesome!
