Many of you don't know it, but our own Marcia Rubin is competing in the Women's Bassmaster Tour Championship next week. This is being held at the same time as the Classic, and the weigh-ins will be on the same stage.
She's 1 of 12 pros battling for the $60,000 prize.

If there is any justice in the world she might get a boat sponsor while she is there. I see she is still trying to sell her Walleye boat to buy a real bass boat.
I live in Pam Martin-Wells territory so I am rooting for her as well as our Reelady.

That wrapped boat was a loaner.
She posted on Tuesday that she had electrical trouble with her boat and couldn't get out to practice. She hasn't updated her web page since then.

I saw the boat she was in today. Looked like the boat to be in for cruising the lake in bad weather.

Her boat is a Ranger "walleye boat." Sounds like she got it fixed. She is trying to sell it to buy a real bass boat.

She is hoping her showing this weekend will bring in a sponsor to throw a boat her way. When her boat electronics went down she couldnt have the classic crew fix it because they dont have parts on hand for a walleye boat...bass boat parts only! until yesterday she didnt even have a loaner lined up, but she got hers fixed in time, luckily

We see her every day (her room is just a few doors down from us). She's disappointed with her showing so far, but is swinging for the fences tomorrow.
