Any one have any suggestions or reviews on hand poured soft baits or a good website to buy them? I'm sick of buying plastics that are made in china, I would rather support a US based company! Any suggestions would be appreciated!!! I'm looking for Lake Erie stuff (Tube's, Hula Grubs,Reapers, ect)
Rage Tail are made in the USA
I offer some. Just depends on what you are looking for.
Thanks for the responses! But i'm looking for Lake Eire stuff (Tube's,Hula grubs,Reapers, ect) I should have mentioned that in the post my mistake!
I run a small hand pour company. Everything is made right here in beautiful Michigan. If you drop shot, the drop shad is a great bait. I designed it specifically for drop shotting on the Great Lakes and St. Claire. You can PM me or get in touch with me on my facebook page (link at bottom)
Check out Homebrewedtackle.com too. It's a website of small local hand made tackle guys like myself.
Hope this helps.
Exactly what I was looking for Thanks!!!!
No problem, they will be stocking my full line once I get it sent out. Should be today so keep an eye on the website for all of my stuff.
Check out Sneed Products. They are a local company from Southern Kentucky and make great products. Their specialty is plastics for shaky heads, all of their plastics float. I lost a plastic when my hook got snagged on a tree. I got the hook out and about 10 seconds later the hog floated to the surface. I thought that was pretty cool. Their shaky heads are on-point, too.

Sorry didn't read your last post! I don't know how they will fair on Erie!
Roboworms are in use on my line probably 90% of the time. Not sure where they're made, but I fish with what works.
Sneed products are awesome! Going to buy some at the fishing expo this year.On 10/12/2013 at 4:53 AM, Amarley said:Check out Sneed Products. If you dont mind Canadian products, Imperium Baits has a fantastic selection of quality plastics. Their triple dipped Phenom Tube has been killer on Lake Erie.
If you don't mind me asking, why hand poured? There are quite a few American companies that have been around decades that mass produce excellent lures.
Why specific baits for Lake Erie bass? - aren't most bass susceptible to most soft plastic lures no matter the water?
If you must use hand poured soft plastics, consider pouring your own. Molds are cheap on one site and the selection is incredible.

For my Lake Erie tubes I use Dry Creek Custom Baits, and another company called Lake & River Lures by Fred Schubert. Both are great quality and color selection.
I also like to use the Joe Balog Goby swimbait when they are 20fow or less.
I'd second Paul Krew's Custom Baits. The only drawback is that he's weeks out on production, so you have to plan ahead to give him a few weeks.

Erie is a different animal. Those fish have seen it all. Can you roll up and toss XYZ brand watermelon or green pumpkin whatever and catch fish. Yes, sometimes. When I've been thru my entire arsenal of Crosstails or Shad Shape worms and haven't sniffed a fish, it's nice to pull out a crosstail in a 'special' color and get bit.
I've been crusiing through ebay and buying plastics in bulk from guys pouring their own. Good quality and they are cheap. I just bought 100 pack of grubs for 20 bucks and bought another 100 last week for 15. Both guys were based in the US. Definitly worth checking out especially if you would like to buy in bulk.
