fishing user avatarsimplejoe reply :

x2 on the e2's.

fishing user avatarA-Rob reply :

don't know if they are the best but I use the football head BassPro shakey gigs. Decent price, good hook, football head stops it from rolling over a bit...no complaints

fishing user avatarA-Rob reply :

Those E2s shown above look better hahaha

fishing user avatarsean0920 reply :

I mean, its not even close.  ::)

fishing user avatarPhranchise1213 reply :

I like the pro model spot removers...have not had much of a problem with them yet..sometimes get hung up on rocks but pop out of snags fairly easily...they sit up on the bottom beautifully as well...usually throw them with a chompers drop shot worm or a strike king 3x finesse worm

Not the jig I was talking about, the post above mine talked about the whopper baits nuckleball, its a knock off of the fintech jig

fishing user avatarTin reply :

The whoppers just imroved on the incredibly crappy hook of the Fintech's. I loved the originial knuckball but the hooks just fla out sucked.

fishing user avatarWild Bill [NY] reply :

Tin,

That photo in your avatar now is kind of disturbing looking..

LMAO !!!

fishing user avatarsean0920 reply :

i believe whopperbaits is just selling the fin-tech, i dont think he is making them

fishing user avatarjacobhookem reply :

I've become a big fan of the Picassos Shakedown Shaky head. The paint on the head will with stand any kind of beating at all. The hooks are really sharp just a great head all around. ;)

Agreed on that, the hook is not that great. they were originally designed to be a walleye bait though I believe, at least thats what there main use is up here, and eyes fight like a drowned rag.

fishing user avatarJake. reply :

The Picasso Shakedown is my favorite.

fishing user avatarBassnajr reply :

You guys prefer smaller baits (3"-4") or larger (5"-7") for "shakeying?  I know to "let the fish tell you" what they want, but just as a general rule.....

Alan (bassnajr)

fishing user avatarSteve_IA reply :

4"-5"

fishing user avatarRiver Rat316 reply :

I generally start out smaller, but depending on conditions (like fall) I will throw 6-8" baits

4" to 6" baits. I like them to be skinny, and they must float.

fishing user avatarBigMatt reply :

I usually make my own shakey jigs. I use the Do-It mold with a mustad hook. I know this is just my opinion, but I think mustad far outperforms gamakatsu.

As for worms, I like a Zoom finesse worm or shakey head worm(pin type worm) as my first choices, then I will go to something else if I need to, but most of the time I will go through five or six green pumpkin finesse worms without batting an eyelash. I have had luck with other colors, sizes, etc, but that womr is almost guanranteed money maker any time of year.

fishing user avatarTriton21 reply :

I "ROLL" my own.  1/16 thru 1/2 oz with Owner hooks and stainless screw lock.  Have never found anything better and have tried several brands.
