Thought I would share a couple of nice smallmouth from the weekend. Both fish caught on jerk baits. Enjoy!

Wow I havent seen a smallie that big for a while
Football.
Nice!!
Those are some big fish! Side note to have a correct measurement don't you have to have the mouth closed?
Here's a couple from NW WI
Gorgeous fish! One reason why I love catching those big smallies, the color is unreal.
That lake produces some awesome color. If I wak up early enough, I'm headed up there again in the AM.

Are you on one of the northern chains or the great lakes? I've heard you can stick footballs up there that push 8-9 pounds.

I'm in NW WI, a bit north of Eau Claire.
That particular lake is not a chain.
As far as the great lakes go, Sturgeon Bay produces some big fish, as do some of the bays on Lake Superior. One that I know of has a 23" minimum.
WOW! Ok, I'm moving up north! We have smallmouth here in VA, but these pictured here just dwarf them. Great catches!
There's som big girls in that lake...
Just a hair shy of 22 3/4", a nudge over 6 lbs.
This is my personal best smallie that came out of Lake Ontario in Canada. This football was 21 inches long and weighed six pounds eight ounces, doubt I will ever catch one that big again.
awesome fish!

Hey, I live in Eau Eau claire myself. Mind me asking what lake you caught all the smallies out of? I'm hoping to expand my range a bit and fish new spots more next season.

Happy to share - shoot me a private message and I'll let you know off line. I don't want the lake to show up on a search engine and get clobbered by everyone and their brother.

Sounds good, message sent.

I've never seen a smallie with a defined gut before. That is awesome! Great fish!
My personal fattest smallie had a 8-9 inch crappie tail in it's throat and still tried to eat my crankbait.

That second picture is a real healthy looking smallie.
Gotta love the colors. 19" from a few weeks ago.
We get them pretty big here in Idaho.
40 degree water smallie.
This was last summer.

Still love this picture! Idk if you remember, but you gave me a few lake tips for here by eau claire last winter. I won't name it here, but I got up there a couple times and caught a few good fish. Sadly the days we were out were less than favorable for canoe fishing, windy and such. Made it tough to really fish slow.
I'm gonna have to get there more next year! Takes some time to figure out the waters without electronics.
Happy new year,
Nik
I did not think porn was allowed here!
Beautiful fish - thank you!
Here's my 21" 4.5lber from a couple years ago
Nice fish. What kind of bump board is that?
Some Bronze from the Great Miami River in SW Ohio
Here is a fatty from yesterday.
That is a pig.
Those are chubby-wubbies for sure!
