Mine would have to be Berkley babybass swimbait 5".

I had to say red eye shad, but this year lucky craft pointers are killing it for me.
Lately it's been blades and grubs for me.
Our waters are getting real close to topwater time.
Swim Senko. Killed 'em last yer on them and had a great day today with one.
So far (this year) for me it's been a 4" fluke on a scrounger head.
My prespawn favorite is a jerkbait, LC Poiner 100.
Zoom Baby Brush Hog,watermelon/magic color.
Gitzit tube/crawfish if i'm targeting LM.
I've been reeking havoc with a watermelon colored grub from Berkeley.
This season, its been a swim jig. Doesnt matter what brand, as long as the color looks something like a bluegill.
Super Fluke in baby bass color
anything resembling a lizard or a bluegill, at least in pa. untill after spawn then anything goes i suppose
jerkbait, and rattle traps
I would have to say that my all time favorite springtime bait is a lipless crankbait. In the spring, where i fish, the water is generally pretty murky, so i like to use a red craw pattern. I also like to have a real noisy bait so they can locate it, so i like to use the knocker baits by xcalibur. It can be a real exciting day in early to late april, catching fish of all sizes, but I usually get some of my biggest fish this time of the year!
Its all about water temp. 3/16 to 1/2 spinner baits, jigs with skirts and trailers or without skirts just a trailer.
spinnerbait
.I start off with the traps and jerks. Once the water hit 50 or so the jigs gets thrown as well.
rattle trap for me
...followed closely by a jig and Pig
if your fishing a smaller lake.. or a small bay in a big lake... a manns hardnose toad rigged on a weighted swimbait hook and dragged slow on the bottom works great.. 4 of my 5 biggest largemouth ever were caught in very early spring on this..... frogs spend winter buried in the mud and they dont' just go straight to the surface and swim around like all the floating frog lures they actually swim accross the bottom the manns hardnose toad dragged on the bottom is the most realistic frog imitation out there that i've been able to find
suspending stick bait ,rattle trap, jig, square bill crankbait
