Butch is a CA trophy bass fisherman and has been vedio taping his trips for sometime in the event he catches a world record bass. Keep in mind when you view this tape that Butch's goal is to catch the bass and put it the boat as quickly as possible to prevent loosing the fish.

You may never see another bass this big on video agian, unless Butch catches a 20+ giant bass. It's very rare for a trophy fisherman to tape what they do. Thank you Butch for sharing this vedio tape for everyone to enjoy the experience.

Sow belly city!
Now THAT'S a BASS! Almost looks like a mutation:o)
unreal, i'd be happy with one half that size!
WOW!!!!
I watched his short video a few times, and I have to admit that some of the LM I've caught isn't any bigger then his Trout Swimbait. ;D ;D
Nice fish! He was just a bit excited wasn't he. ;D
That thing's a monster. Did you see the way he threw the swimbait as he was netted.
Butch is the man! I've had the privilege of speaking with him a couple times at the lake. Great guy. He doesn't hesitate to share his wealth of knowledge.
Did anyone notice that this was not a bed fish?
i cant play the video
i saved it but it says unkown file type and windows cant play it!
ok i somehow got windows media player to play the video and
OMG
that is one enormous bass!!!!!!!!
i think i would crap myself if i caught one like that, especially considering not even a second after it was in the net the swimbait went flying out of its mouth!!!
talk 2 me docter ...
:)
he is my favourite trophy bass hunter
No matter how many times I look at the footage, it is time and time again simply amazing to see a fish that size caught on camera.
Congrats Butch!
First off, Butch Brown is the man ! Definately one of my big bass idols.
Very huge, very cool fish, caught on tape..... But they cut it off too soon. I'd like to see more angles and closeups of the fish after he caught it.
I'd have probably lost this one, as I can't believe how soon he was reaching for the net. Maybe when it first surfaced, he noticed how it was barely hooked.... Either way, he says > "Did you see what just happened" ? ......and I was expecting him to say, "It came unbuttoned at the same instant it was going in the net" {which is, in fact, what happened} but instead, he told me something I already knew.... That he caught it on a Hud.... Uhhh... well yes. What else would he be throwing ?
But I have to give him some slack on this, I know from personal / recent experience, that it's really hard to think straight, when your adrenalin level is through the roof :-)
This is Butch's biggest bass on video.... but not his best video of a big bass catch. I think some of those "little ol' 15 and 16 lb'ers he has taped are a bit better. Oh well, the photos of my 18.4 lb PB are not my best photos of a big bass, either.
BTW, what's up with the blotchy, pixelated video quality ? Is it something to do with the way it's posted online ? I have a short video of the release of my recent big one, which is much better quality..... but maybe by the time it was posted, and viewed on the internet, it wouldn't be any better. I don't know much about internet video.
Anyway, what a fish. I will get one in Nor Cal someday, that is that big.
Big congrats to Butch Brown,
Fish

x2. Has he taken the vid offline???
go directly to huddlestondeluxe.com and you can watch the video from there.
You know what I like about his videos? He doesn't need a $30,000 Ranger to catch these monster bass.
What a pig
neither do I :-)
I'm fishing out of my dreamboat right now....
Peace,
Fish
PS, Not only do I believe that those 50K glitter rockets are not much help, but in many cases, they are actually a hendrance, to sticking big bass. If you gave me one today, I'd sell it half off, just to get rid of it fast.
That's a huge bass, and he landed it faster than it takes me to land a 3 pounder :-?
Fish Chris - that's a sweet rig man 8-)
Quoteneither do I :-)I'm fishing out of my dreamboat right now....
You da man, Chris. I am fishing out of a 24 year old Bass Tracker and having the time of my life. I fish cheap.
Fish Chris: that's an awesome rig you have. That's really ALL you need to get to where the bass are.
FishChris-if you ever win one of those fancy bass rigs...contact me first. I'd love to take it off your hands for half price ;D
boooo, the link is dead... I can't see what everyone is wowing :'(

you must make LOTS more money, and / or fish a lot closer to home than I do ! Heck, I can barely afford the gas for a 4 cyl Toyota and my 25hp outboard, (for my 120 to 140 full days of fishing, a year) as it is.
One of those big high-per bass boats, and a full size V-8 truck to pull it, would cut my fishing down by at least 3/4's...... which would be a HUGE detriment to my fishing, and is completely unacceptable.
But anyway, sure ! If I win one, I'll be glad to hook you up :-)
Peace,
Fish

Butch is the man! he is one of the few trophy hunters that doesn't bed fish and can still stroke them! a well deserved catch. What is that fish like #902?
GAY! the link didnt work for me
.... NVM i found the new link... Amazing footage!

I know your into photography: the video compression is just like jpg compression on an image. JPG's compress image data and make the image file smaller. In order to make a video load faster and play smoother the file size has to be reduced through video (and audio) compression. Believe it or not, that quality is actually not too bad for web-based video.
Butch only has a small computer video cam mounted in the back seat location. We are lucky he shares his video clips.
