Any talks of a regional tournament of BassResource members with a National Tournament to follow on a Mystery Lake.
General feel here isn't a competitive one, plus we're just too spread out.
Sounds good, was just wondering... thanks
If someone were interested in trying, perhaps trying somthing in their "region" would be the way to go. Posting in the appropriate regional forum for interest. Certain parts of the country have dense pockets of members. Might only be a 10 guy tourny but still fun.
LBH, now that is a great idea!!!!!!!!
You could break it up into two sanctioning bodies like the pros instead of FLW and BASS you could have The Shimano posse vs the Pflueger Mooks
I would totally be interested in a MO tourny...'cept I ain't gotta boat. I think it would be a good way to meet other anglers in your area and is good, clean fun. I don't know if there is anyone else in MO who would be interested, but I know this guy is...even if it were only a 10 dude tourney and I had to fish from the bank.

Count me in on the Shimano team.
BassResource.com is place to find information on anything and everything related to bass fishing, find people with like interests, use tools to plan your next trip or log your last one, and learn as much as possible about bass fishing. It's all that and a whole lot more. However, one thing BassResource.com is NOT, is a tournament organization. There are plenty of other successful tournament organizations out there tailored to suit most anyone.
That said, there's nothing against a friendly get-together of folks who want to fish on the same body of water. Throw in a low wager or two and have at it! Just understand that it won't be a BassResource.com sanctioned event.
Thanks!
Glenn
LOL What's the matter Glenn? You don't want to front the
$500,000 prize money and the $2,000,000 insurance policy
in case someone gets hurt and sues you? ;D

How about a online tournament during a week in the summer. During that week we will photo a measured bass on a golden rule, Submit it to a tournament board and at the end of the week have a winner. It will be on the honor system and with no money involved who cares. South of the Mason Dixon line is a automatic 3" handicap... LBH will get a extra 2" to any fish for good deeds with the kids.
Memorial Weekend who's in????????????
I always suspected Russ needed an extra couple of inches. 8-)

The way to make it a a bit more honest is the picture must include an index card with a 'secret' word on it that would be given to the participants just as the contest begins. Of course their screen name should be on it too.
A site sponsor (or a couple) could contribute a lure package that could be the winning prize.
We could go on and on with security measure's. I thought of a newspaper with the date but anyone with phoptoshop can do just about anything. While Florida has big fish we streched this one.
"No actual fish were harmed or stretched during this example of photoshop"
If I could only figure out how SOMEONE enlarges them in Videos. ;D
Man, you guys are being ruff on LBH,, but then the "little" guys always get the "short" end of the stick!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hey you could fish with me again. Just better hope their not hitting that jig again and your fishing against me. ;D
We use to have something on a different forum that went by region. Its was an honesty policy with a pic of the fish and a tape. We judged by length not weight. Never had any prizes just good ol competition.
If any of the guys in the Atlanta area are interested in a jon boat tourney for members,,, ring me up, lets see what we can do,,, we can fish Varner,

Stratosdad- didn't you just get the exact same camera as I have? You live in the same small state too, right? Can't WAIT to see some of YOUR videos this season!!!! I'm sure with your strong convictions that I must not be the only guy in the state catching fish this size, lmao (mike and I are good buddies folks, no malice here)
FYI- Westpalmdude is trying to get a Fla thing going in the "Southeast" fishing forum

I would totally fish with you again...be it along side of ya or lined up against ya. Either way it would be great fun. Yeah, I would agree that if "that" jig bite is on the whole field, as well as myself, would be in a world of hurt. Heaven help everyone if I get onto a crankbait pattern though.
I'm a newbie to video editing. How do you get those SHORTS to look like 6 lbers in your videos. I called BPS and they said some guys from RI bought all the SPECIAL camera lens to enhance the size of fish. I just hope your not using it on "PRIVATE" parts.

I live in Cartersville area, not sure where Varner is, but I'll take that bet your gonna regret I'm the best that's ever been. They don't have an emoticon that plays the fire out of a fiddle here. ;D

If we were talking about Missouri I'd probably suggest a day tourny at Little Dixie lake just east of Columbia. 200 acres, you can launch any size boat but the lake is a no-waker and there are boats available on the honor system for those who want to bring a trolling motor.
Lake Dixie seems like an ideal place for a MO tournament. Nice central location so if ANYONE in MO wants to particpate they have the option. Allowing any size boat launch doesn't limit anyone by boat size and having boat rental allows those who are boatless to compete in the water and not from the bank. The lake is of decent size for a smaller tournament easy to get too, not being to far off a major highway.
I think I am going to create a thread on this in Central Bass Fishing to try to gauge interest. If anyone has any other ideas about possible locations, rules for the tournament, when it might take place, with partners or solo, etc. etc. just look for the thread.
Here is a link to the thread for MO:

Since you two are friends, well, you know how skinny that dude is!!! No wonder the fish look so big!!!!!!! ;D
Hardest working man in the brown truck. In person he is the real life energizer bunny.

Varner is in Newton County near Covington. It is one of the lakes that Randall guides on, and catches a lot of his hawgs on.... And I make no claims to being the best,,not for a year or two anyway,,, but lets get some guys out there and have some fun.
