trailers for jigs that you pitch and swim 2025

fishing user avatarcjam93 reply :

So i typically use a swimbait for swim jig trailers and a craw or beaver for pitching. However, I was curious what kind of jig trailers you prefer if you are doing both with the same jig?

fishing user avatarFishTank reply :

The Strike King Rage Tail Menace or the Caffeine Shad.  I also like the small Keitech minnows with jigs with smaller skirts.

fishing user avatarFishinBuck07 reply :

Zoom ultra vibe speed craw

fishing user avatarA-Jay reply :

fishing user avatarMN Fisher reply :

Ready for the list - there's a few I use

Berkley Pit Boss

Berkley Chigger Craw

Eco Pro Swing Shad

I also use these (among others) as trailers on spinner/chatter/buzzbait

Rage Craw

fishing user avatarww2farmer reply :

Twin tail grub, or some kind of "flapping craw".

Flapping craw brand/style changes based on my mood and boredom level with the baits.

I have used chigger craws, rage craws, paca craws, and more that I probably don't remember. They all work equally well. Right now I'm keen on the X-zone Muscle Back Craw....mainly because I'm the only one I know using it, it's equally effective as the others, and they have the fastest shipping I have ever seen. I order products on a Monday from them, and 9 times out of 10 I have it by Tues or Weds....with a flat fixed rate shipping charge of $5. I like that.

fishing user avatarjbsoonerfan reply :

Smallie Beaver or Sweet Beaver for working it slow or a Chigger Craw for a larger profile, Keitech Fat Impact 3.3 or 4.8 for swimming it

fishing user avatarJediAmoeba reply :

I agree. A Rage Menace or Rage Craw is usually my go-to trailer. As is a Speed Craw. I do not rig them sideways. No need, from my experience.

If its it’s cold and the fish are slow, I’ll go with a trailer with less action. In which case I probably won’t be swimming it.

Funny...I bought a few bags of these with huge confidence and have never been able to score a fish with them. They sure do look nice in the water though. I’ll keep trying.

I have had more luck with this trailer than any - especially at night.
