I'm on a tight budget (Aren't we all), but I'm looking to buy some bass jigs but not wanting to pay the 4-5$ for 1 jig off basspro.com.. Anyone know any good websites to buy from that have quaility? Or anyone have any jigs willing to part with for a trade?

You can purchase plain or painted jigs with Owner or Gamakatsu hooks from Gary Yamamoto and Barlows Tackle for examples, then purchase skirts separately from Barlows or a similar outfit. GY sells 5 jigs for $4.50+. Need to check Barlows skirt prices, 5 for 3.00+ est. = about $1.80 per jig for good quality.

Quality jigs on sale!
Bass patrol football head jigs, 2x strong hook but it is a small hook. Hand tied skirts and for $1.99 you really cant find a better jig for the price.
Bass Pro shops sells $1.99 jigs from Strike King and their own brand.

Siebert Outdoors or Northstar Custom Baits. These are my favorite and priced well on sale or not.
If your looking to only spend a little bit of money Siebert Outdoors has free shipping and you could get a variety of their standard jigs. You could get 8 jigs for $20 bucks. Plus you build the jig the way you like it.
I like the brush head, arky head, and grass head jigs from Siebert. Copperhead painted with a falcon craw skirt is my favorite from them.
From NSCB my favorite is the flip n swim New Gill...very versatile jig with a very unique skirt and matching painted head.
I seriously don't think you can go wrong with either company.
buy any of the owner hook heads from Siebert outdoors. that's about 1.75 each i think. then buy the skirt material you like and collars from any number of places. then scrounge up an old ink pen and paper clip to make your own skirts for about .70 each. then, in about one minute, you have a $2.45 jig that will smoke ANY $4 plus jig out there. good luck.
I see in another post you made, that you paid $3 for SK bitsy jigs. IMHO thats a rip. I think they are available just about every where for $2 or less. They are a decent jig. I use alot of them. The bitsy flip is a good "cheap" finesse flipping jig, the hook is a heavy wire black nickle, and I have never had any issues with them. They are $2 a pop, so if I lose a bunch (which I do) it's not a big deal. The regular bitsy jigs use a cheaper, lighter wire bronze hook, but I have never had any problems with them either. I consider both as "disposable" jigs. If I have not lost them, when the hook gets dull/bent/rusty etc.. I just toss them out. They come in all the colors you really need (black/blue and green/brown), and up to 1/2 oz. If your just getting started jig fishing, get some of the bitsy jigs in 1/8th and 1/4 oz, and some of the bitsy flips in 3/8's and 1/2 oz. Pick a trailer you have confidence in and start fishing them. You'll catch plenty of fish on those, learn the basics of jig fishing, and go from there.
Any jig is only as good as the hook used to make it. Good quality jig hooks cost about .35 each, the average BPS or other discount house the hook cost less than .05 each, you get what you pay for with hooks.
You can make up your own jigs with good quality hooks for about $1.80 per jig or purchase complete good quality jigs from site sponsors for under $4 each and I recommend one of those choices.

.
What skeletor said, you can't go wrong with either. Quaility jigs and both are running great sales at the moment.
You can make your own for under $2.

That's a great way to keep them cheap and have something to do during the winter time! Plus you can make any color combo you can imagine.
I use Moaner Hooks predator jigs www.moanerhooks.com they're cheap and do the trick! $2.79 and $2.49 for finnesse sizes.
I've built my own for abour $1.20 per jig. I got a bunch of jigheads off ebay for about $0.80 a piece (they have arky heads, brush gaurds and 4/0 gammy hooks) then I bought real rubber skirts from fishingskirts.com for $0.22 per tab and I use 2 tabs per jig...

And at that price, it doesn't hurt as bad when you lose them in the rocks.

That is after the 25% discount with the black friday promo code typed in the promo code box at checkout. I can guaranty you, you will not get tougher more durable jigs at that price.
This. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is as true as it gets when talking about fishing equipment. Generally lower priced jigs are not hand tied, which will lead to you spending more on replacing those jigs...
Personally, I throw NorthStar because of the innovation and craftsmanship, but there are a lot of jig manufacurers out there that put out a great product that diserve your consideration when purchasing.
Your looking at jigs for 4.00? WOW! I have jigs as low as 2.25 for a quality jig with all the perks of those expensive ones with a Mustad Ultra Point hook. If you want to jump into a better hook I have Owners XXX strong hook for 3.00. You can not beat that jig!
Cheap does not equal quality, but you don't need to break the bank either. I'll vouch for Northstar jigs excellent quality. Might I recommend you invest in a decent braided line. You won't lose so many.
Check out evercast lures.com. There jigs are 2.25 and they have many to choose from. There about all I use now.

I can promise you guys these things are amazing and built to last, I have several of these jigs from Mike, 2 in the Big-O series, these things are overkill for the money you pay !!!
Just be ready for a headache with all the options you have to choose from, but don't worry, he is always right there to help, try getting that service from other suppliers !!!
Like some of the previous posts have pointed out. You get what you pay for. That being said, I personally feel that even when Northstar jigs are not on sale, they are a very good value. Some of the best quality jigs I have ever used, and the only jigs I have in my box now. Great stuff!

This! Mike has always been very helpful when I have had a question. Siebert Outdoors brings three Important things to the table; a quality product, very competitive price, and top notch customer service!
