Does the food stick to it? Easy to hand wash?

Answer: Haven't had any problems with food sticking. I've done carrots, mushrooms, peppers, sweet potatoes, venison jerky, & apples. Grid sheets are easy to hand clean & have put them in dishwasher (no hot, sanitizing washes or rinses) on either top or bottom rack. Think I took them out before the drying cycle in case it would be too hot, just to be on the safe side.

How much heat does it emit? Will it heat the room up?

Answer: I put mine in a small hobby room to save space and when it runs it does not heat the room up. At least not enough for me to tell it. Its also very quiet.

What kind of food can this machine dehydrate?

Answer: You can make delicious beef jerky , banana chips , apple chips , jerky , dehydrated vegetables , honeydew, mangoes, papaya and other dried fruits.

Is it loud?

Answer: Not at all. A small hum, but you can't hear it at all from a few feet away, and not at all from the next room. If you are concerned about kitchen conversation, you'll probably never notice it.
