Answer: I've used pellets from various brands. I can't imagine there would be an issue. Just make sure they are food grade and not heating pellets.
Answer: Some purists will say to only use camp chef brand pellets; but yes, you can use other pellets just fine. Lumberjack and Pit Boss are two other popular brands by Camp Chef owners.

Answer: We bought the Camp Chef Full-Length Patio Cover DLX 24"/Smoke Pro 24"/ Woodwind Pellets Grill - Full Length. Fits perfect.
Answer: Personally I have not tried to find a cover because mine is always in a weather protected area. I would suggest calling camp chef themselves because I’ve heard they are very good about customer support. I sure do love my grill and I could not be more pleased with it.

Answer: A lot of people say there isn't a whole lot of difference. The burner is similar to the burner that is on a stove. The sear box is like a super hot grill that works great for searing steaks. I think the temperature gets to around 900F

Answer: Less time and operational expense to super heat a small area than to try and super heat the entire grill just to get some quick char marks. Even some high end gas grills have this feature.

Answer: There's a grease trap under the grill box, it slides out from the right. Picture it as at the bottom and dead center middle running left to right.

Works well ! Only used 3 times so far . Had a issue with the WiFi but I moved my router closer 15 ft. And that made the signal much better. The temperature seams to fluctuate a bit 15–20 degrees up or down from target temp
Not real happy with the shipping , the box was pretty beat up ! Fed ex. Other than a few scratches on the shelf and had to straighten the upper housing where the hood closes just a touch it survived. Wish I could send pictures.

During the third use my grill overheated and would no longer control the temp. Literally popped the lid after being set to a temp of 380 degrees. It has been unplugged for 30 minutes and is still on fire. Do not buy this grill.

Love it!! All features and all aspects. I have used it five times now and it is a performer. Having some issues with the camp chef app On my iPhone always seeing the grill but that may be due to aluminum siding and my WiFi..... small inconvenience.

Good luck finding parts for it. After 2 years the pin breaks that pushes the ulger. Fix it again year 3 and the fan dies. Not easy to work on. I'll have to break it down to get a future look at it.

My pellets smoker is only 9 months old and has only been used a handful of time. It is always kept under the camp chef cover after each use and most time is put inside my shed. The front and back of the smoker are completely rusting. This is ridiculous and should not be happening with a smoker this expensive.

I bought this grill for Xmas and used it in mid winter here in Ohio. Setup and use are easy and the Bluetooth WiFi connection allowed me to stay inside and monitor my grilling progress while it was in the teens outside. I wish the side sear plate were twice as hot though. That’s my only complaint is the lack of BTUs in the sear plate

Hopper lid bracket did not line up properly and had to drill holes to connect the screws. WiFi constantly dropping unable to monitor on my smart phone but, nevertheless the temperature is maintained at +-5 degrees and the meat prepared was excellent.
