Answer: Personally I have not tried to find a cover because mine is always in a weather protected area. I would suggest calling camp chef themselves because I’ve heard they are very good about customer support. I sure do love my grill and I could not be more pleased with it.

Answer: A lot of people say there isn't a whole lot of difference. The burner is similar to the burner that is on a stove. The sear box is like a super hot grill that works great for searing steaks. I think the temperature gets to around 900F

Answer: I haven't got the searbox on yet but I think the difference is the searbox is made to get very hot to sear meat without flaring up and the side burner is a regular propane burner that you could put a griddle or other cooking utensil on...

Answer: Less time and operational expense to super heat a small area than to try and super heat the entire grill just to get some quick char marks. Even some high end gas grills have this feature.

Answer: There's a grease trap under the grill box, it slides out from the right. Picture it as at the bottom and dead center middle running left to right.

Got the motor working, but the WiFi is absolutely infuriating. It’s essentially NEXT to my router and still cuts out all the time making firmware updates impossible and the phone feature not even usable.

Kbrake : Perfect even temps

I love this grill/smoker. It's my second smoker and this is well worth the money. It's built well. Very solid. It looks good, if that means anything. But for me is the steady heat. You can set the smoke setting anywhere from 1 to 10. 10 gives you the most temperature variation. At 10 the temp only varies 8 to 10 degrees for me. I cooked a 12 lb brisket the other day and it came out perfect. It was a 12 hour cook with the smoke setting on 10 and it turned out perfect. I'm not going to go over all the features. That's for the sales people. I'm just telling you that if you want steady consistent temperatures this is the smoker for you.

Good luck finding parts for it. After 2 years the pin breaks that pushes the ulger. Fix it again year 3 and the fan dies. Not easy to work on. I'll have to break it down to get a future look at it.

fmfdoc : Well Thought out Product

This Campchef Woodwind grill is very, very good and has exceeded my expectations. It was easy to assemble, is easy to use, and produces great results. The ability to quickly clean up the ashes by removing the ash cup is a time saver and an example of how well thought out the product is. There are several video reviews out there that can explain how good this grill is, it's key features, and comparisons to other grills much better than I can.

A few key points: The grill holds temperature and the smoke adjustments give the meats a great flavor and smoke ring, the ash clean up takes a few second and no vacuuming out or disassembly is required, changing pellets from one wood to another is quick and simple. A few reviews here have said they had issues with Wi-Fi connectively, I have had no problems. I set it go back inside and let it cook until the meat reaches the desired temperature. The only thing I have to do is occasionally go out spritz the meat to keep it moist. The side box sear feature allows steaks to have the prefect sear whether you are doing it at the beginning or end of the cooking process.

I was fully expecting the grill to be damaged when it arrived. I took photos of the box in anticipation of having to send it back when I saw the condition the box was in. It looked as though someone had beat the box with a baseball bat. To my surprise, when I unpacked it, the grill had absolutely no damage at all. Campchef did a great job of padding and protecting the grill to survive the abuses of shipping.
