Answer: Yes, this net will work for small to medium size fish. The mesh is very small and for larger fish I would recommend a larger mesh net with a little heavier frame. I used it for shrimp because of the mesh size and deep sides.

Customers’ number one complaint relates to their inability to fold this net so it will fit in the pouch provided. The vendor’s four photos showing how to fold the net are not satisfactory. Please provide better photos and instructions!

ken kukwa sr : IT WORKS! I landed a 40" Bonnet shark off a peir, about 30' above the water..

I bought this net to use on the skyway fishing peir in the Tampa area, it worked fairly well when I caught a Bonnet shark, but was kinda difficult to get the shark over the net because my fishing line and the rope connect to the net got a little tangled but once the shark was over the net game over! The nets flexibility allows it to collapse around the fish, when you pull it up! Another reason I like that the nets flexibility, is it allows to be reduced and stored in the included. I was on vacation so space was limited.

This product does not work as I have imagined.maybe in China or another Asian country but here in the u.s...the result has fail big time.i will not rate any stars on this product due to the way the net is pull while at the same time its bend the bottom part so all the fish is able to get out.not a good selling product and I will mail it back wet and not clean.

Very cheap material. From the fishing net to the rope, the day I used the fishing net to try it out it ripped from the rope. Never buying from them again. Wasn't worth 20.00 bucks. I had to buy a new one at a fishing store near me for a better net with rope for a better price....

NH Hunter : Good Alternative to A Cast Net

My state doesn’t allow large cast nets (4’ diameter max ????), so this is a good alternative. I put some dry dog food and bread in a ziplock with holes. That gets tied to the middle, drop it down and you have bait.

Note: this is used in small lakes and ponds from a boat. It’s not going to replace a cast net...

MS : No, cheap, not worth it

Just don’t. Get a crab net if you’re planning on using this for landing fish at the pier. It’s cheap, it rips and broke before I even got to use it.

I have absolutely NO IDEA if this item is quality for fishing. I bought it to suspend in my daughter's playroom, thinking I would put a mesh drape around it like a cute hanging bed for her stuffed animals. It did NOT go well. It cannot support any weight. Maybe it is better for its intended purpose :}

I honestly did not expect this crab net to last so long, but it's made it two whole seasons and has been well worth the money!

If you want something extremely durable, you're better off with a metal crab pot/trap.

You might have to be more gentle with this one because the net is pretty thin, but it totally works.
