John Jarom : put the line pound in the description
should have give the line pound..
Buyer 23 : Great sturdy net
I bought a number of gill nets off of Amazon. This is the best hands down no comparison. The cheap ones go bad after a few uses and catch all kinds of tiny little fish that are to small to clean and eat. This is quite durable and gives you the ability to purchase nets with holes that let the little fish swim through so you only have to mess around with the kind of fish you want to keep.
Amazone : Fun for single use.
Functional but only one time. It is just a knot after one use. Job himself wouldn’t have patience to untangle it. Used in ocean in Central America.
James redmiles : Cheaply made. Single use net mostly. Not worth the money.
This net was extremly difficult to untangle right out of the bag. The end of the net was brought back up the middle inbetween the layers of the net. Was maybe able to use 50ft of it. The floats do not hold the net up so had to tie a bottle at the end so i knew where it was. Line is maybe 6lb test line if that.
AMERICO : Is any guarantee to replace???????
I am so sad because yesterday I was opened the package for using and it's was twisted and so tide and I disappointed about this item and the return expires
PCV : Night Cat Fishing Net, 3 Layers Gill Net
This is exactly the right size net, and what I have been looking for. Fit nicely across small rivers and inlets. works very well. Can't go wrong with this net. Arrives in a nice compact tube for easy storage. It has floats, and is easy to use.
Jblsx : Useless
Came all tangle up
Mai Shanly Aguilera Cardenas : Waste of money
Didn’t work the holes in the nest are too big and it kept getting tangled. I ended up throwing it away the first tome using it.
Amazon Customer : Good for recreational use
We bought these to support a fishing survey in Alabama (Tennessee River). The river is loaded with large gar, catfish, and carp. After the 3-day survey the nets needed to be disposed of due to significant tearing from the larger fish (especially the catfish). Obviously this net is not made for industrial application, but is good for the recreational fisherman who is trying to round up small to medium size catch over a short period of time -- but if the nets soak for > 1h, you run the risk of larger fish getting snared and that could result in a 1'x1' section getting torn upon extraction of the fish. I do however think the price is great and it is easy to fold up. We never had issues with the net getting tangled, so we learned for active fish survey work, a heavier duty net is the ticket, but this net would be great for the recreational fisherman.
Amazon Customer : Gill net seine
I thought I ordered a 20' and it was a 60' was too long and didnt sink. Guess not weighted enough. Was disappointed.
Mohammed Parvez : Very good
#1 for fish
gary c. : Be ready to catch allot of fish!
Nice, perfect for Ponds, still lakes, slow moving streams and rivers. Trout, Bass, Perch, Catfish...Haven't tried the ocean yet but I'm sure it works in creeks and canals for bait.
jt : Store in bucket and best in still or slow water.
My 1st one worked very well, caught a bunch of carp and bass that destroyed the net by twisting while one end was secured only with a rock weight and gallon bottle. I cut the bad part off and used the rest 2nd time, but ruined the net because I tried wrapping it around a pool noodle secured with zip ties. the float line kept poking through the eyelets and tangled the whole net beyond repair.
I bought a 2nd one. And this time I wised up:
1) Pull it out neatly and drop into a 5-gallon bucket, keeping the floats on one side and lead the other. Pull out ONLY as far as you need. I barely used 30 ft and the carps came tugging already.
2) Keep the lines TIGHT by securing both ends to either shore or heavy weight / big float secured with strong line on the open end.
3) Retrieve the caught fish ASAP. The longer they are in the net, the more TANGLED they will be and harder to remove.
4) use another net basket to lay the fish in, then PUSH the fish forward through the net to free it. You may have to rip a few eyes but this is UNAVOIDABLE.
5) Retrieved the net NEATLY into the bucket and remove twigs, branches, debris from the net. You may have to break the pieces smaller to avoid ripping/tangling the net.
6) Best for slow or still waters. The river destroyed part of my first net because too much debris got caught in it I'd rather cut that part of 30 ft or so and use the rest rather than repair/remove debris.
Good luck. This net works AWESOME when used properly.
Coleman Michaels : Good net for the price
Easily catches fish and fairly easy to set up. Only draw back is , it is a bit difficult to remove the fish from the net but I would buy it again
Scott : As Described
The net works great. Product is as described and works as expected.
Amazon Customer : Gill net seine
I thought I ordered a 20' and it was a 60' was too long and didnt sink. Guess not weighted enough. Was disappointed.
Amazon Customer : piece of trash
Not durable, the net ripped down the middle on the first throw. Would not recommend.
Amazon Customer : piece of trash
Not durable, the net ripped down the middle on the first throw. Would not recommend.
shad : hole size and stretch
1 -4/5 how close to 1 3/4 and what would be the stretch
Православный Cледопыт : Amazing Net!
I bought this for my friend Angel, in North Carolina, since he mentioned wanting this. Here is what he had to say about it, "Absolutely this is the best net I've ever had. Cheap price, but it worked amazingly. I put this one and the other one of a similar size that I purchased in my local fishing store (at triple the price!) in a pond. This one caught 11 fish while the other one caught nothing except something unwanted (flotsam). I checked out the trammel and found it was really well built by NIGHT CAT, the float and sinker didn't get lost or tangled, and the mono-filament for this size is strong enough. I definitely will buy another but I hope there will be more sizes available." I don't know much about net fishing, but he really seems to like it.
Amazone : Fun for single use.
Functional but only one time. It is just a knot after one use. Job himself wouldn’t have patience to untangle it. Used in ocean in Central America.
Jorge D. Fonseca Mulero : Good purchase!
This is a very nice fishing net. Almost any fish can be caught on it. It's light, easy to put in the water and to remove it. Amazingly it fit in a very very small box, only 1/10 of the space of my other nets. The only reason I don't give 5 stars rating, it's because the monofilament is to fragile, it breaks very easily, even when removing the fish! A more stonger monofilament will make this net a perfect one!
Intel Junkie : This net beats the socks off the first one I bought !!
This is truly a 3 layer net where as the first one I got was not. I spread this net out in the river by myself with one side wrapped around a 5 foot piece of wood. Sank that into the sand. Waded out a bit not even chest high and maybe out 50 foot from shore. Brought net into shore and was overwhelmed at the number of fish. I got tired of taking them out. This net I had small croaker and crabs plus some big gizzard shad. Shad was my target and some were so big they were hard to get out of the net. Amazing. 2 separate 3 min sweeps produced about 30-40 gizzard shad and multiple crabs and croaker
Jblsx : Useless
Came all tangle up
Catfish_Cory : Great for occasional users
Great for the price! The floats could be bigger, the weights could be heavier, but for me who will only use it 3 or 4 times a year it'll do just fine. Caught a lot of gizzard shad this weekend with it. Make sure you open the package and unpack the net before taking it on your boat- it's wrapped up very complicated for shipping and it takes some time to untangle. Bring a 5 gal bucket the first time and use that for storage- it'll never fit back in the container it came with. After you do a couple of sets with it, it'll lay in the bucket right and come out without a problem. It is a little difficult to get the fish out of the net, especially larger fish so you end up having to cut it sometimes. These cuts cause little tangles but overall it is still very functional. I'll be buying another soon.
Brandon Bollinger : Poor quality
Did not like the net showed up all twisted together plus had atleast 3 holes in net big as a basket ball. All weights where twisted through net. Poorly packaged.
Update They did contact me and apologized for the net and offered to resend another. Looking forward to the new net.
Janelle Stolte : Getting here in or on time
Love it just what it said it was
Iván Rivera Ortiz : no es lo que pedi
Esto es falso
Cecilio : Don’t buy it
Don’t buy it save your money the net it’s reallyyyyyyyyy thin
Francisco a : Muy bueno
