The handle will not tighten and spins no matter how much I twist it. How can I fix this?

Answer: Hi there,

Answer: On mine, each segment of the telescoping handle tightens when you twist it clockwise. If yours doesn't then it seems like there is a defect and needs to be returned to mfg.

I need it to catch chickens would that be possible

Answer: yes, it is good for catching chickens.

is there a replacement net available?

Answer: We do not have replacement net for sale now.

Can this net be used for crabbing?

Answer: The answer is yes . But the net is a fine mesh and crabs will get a hold of it. But if you were hand lining and using to scoop the crabs it will work . There are some other options out there and I don’t think you’re going to need a telescopic net for crabbing reasons ?

Answer: I would not use for crabbing, you need a stronger net for crabs, they would rip this apart easily.

How do I connect the net bolt to the pole?

Answer: Bolt, connected to 1 side of the hoop, fits thru the hole in the other side of the hoop, and then screws into the end of the pole.

Answer: I just took some wire cutters and squeezed where the shaft goes into the net and it has stayed on without problems. I tried superglue 1st but it would not hold.

I want to use this net to catch fresh water small minnow. I'm concerned about the size of the mesh openning

Answer: The mesh hole is 1/14" , it is good for catching small minnow, little bugs, frog and other insects.

Is this good for shelling?

Answer: The handle is lightweight, it is good for minnows, small fish, frog, small baby chicken, shell.

Answer: This net would be fine for small shell collecting but not for large conch shells.

I purchased this net for collecting and photographing small aquatic life.
I was impressed with the build and compactness of this net when dissembled, the netting is fine enough for small fish and crustaceans, but most isopods and fish fry would filter through.
If you were inclined to make your own net out of a finer material the frame and handle would be usable and easily interchanged.

My husband purchased this for our grandson and it is a good quality net that works well for landing the fish. Besides fish, it is also fun to use to scoop minnows, leaves, duck feathers or any other treasures a 6 year old can find while they are fishing! The telescoping handle is handy, too!

the handle is sturdy and well constructed, but the ring of metal at the net is cheap and hollow—it bent right away and eventually snapped. The net material was flimsy and tore. This net did not make it through a single fishing trip. I would have returned it, but we ended up beating the crap out of it just trying to make the best of it for the rest of the day. Complete garbage, Amazon-to-landfill in a day.

Broke within 10 minutes of putting it together and all we were using it for was to catch minnows. The handle broke in 2 places just swooping the net thru water. At best, the most the thin flimsy handle could hold up to would be a butterfly catcher - - - and only if the butterfly was little. A total waste of money. I contacted the seller to give them a chance to rectify the crappy product they are selling, but never heard back. My advice: STAY AWAY!!

Before I used this net for fishing, my kids grabbed it for playing in the bay. Turns out it is very sturdy. Would not recommend to use as an oar as they did, but it still held up. Also very compact. The telescoping shaft doesn't work well with sand, but a little rinse and good as new. The threaded bolt that connects to the shaft is very reassuring in the nets sturdiness because ot is so thiicccc!

Well made, net, frame and extendable pole. I use it to scoop up mosquito fish from my pool/pond to move them to other tanks. Works good. I wouldn't try to use it for landing a big fish, or a big scoop full of bait fish though. I put a 3 pound dive weight in the net and was able to carefully lift that, but I think a 3 pound thrashing fish might be a bit much for it. I think about 1 pound is the safe upper limit for this net.

The net was purchased as a solution to hopefully catch birds stuck in garage and then release them. Perfect for a bait net also for when I fish. Net has been put to good use since purchase and has also rescued fledgling Robins from deep egress window wells. Net is very well constructed with telescoping handle and the netting is very fine and soft. A great product that lives up to its description and would recommend to anyone needing a similar net.

Perfect for getting finger mullet from my bait pen. It’s a wide net so if you’re using with a smaller live well it may not fit but fir the pen it’s perfect. The king reach is helpful to get them when they swim to the bottom.
