The handle will not tighten and spins no matter how much I twist it. How can I fix this?

Answer: On mine, each segment of the telescoping handle tightens when you twist it clockwise. If yours doesn't then it seems like there is a defect and needs to be returned to mfg.

I need it to catch chickens would that be possible

Answer: yes, it is good for catching chickens.

is there a replacement net available?

Answer: We do not have replacement net for sale now.

Can this net be used for crabbing?

Answer: The answer is yes . But the net is a fine mesh and crabs will get a hold of it. But if you were hand lining and using to scoop the crabs it will work . There are some other options out there and I don’t think you’re going to need a telescopic net for crabbing reasons ?

Answer: I would not use for crabbing, you need a stronger net for crabs, they would rip this apart easily.

How do I connect the net bolt to the pole?

Answer: Bolt, connected to 1 side of the hoop, fits thru the hole in the other side of the hoop, and then screws into the end of the pole.

Answer: I just took some wire cutters and squeezed where the shaft goes into the net and it has stayed on without problems. I tried superglue 1st but it would not hold.

I want to use this net to catch fresh water small minnow. I'm concerned about the size of the mesh openning

Is this good for shelling?

Answer: The handle is lightweight, it is good for minnows, small fish, frog, small baby chicken, shell.

I purchased this net for my 7 year old daughter who loves to catch anything that moves in the water at our pond. She puts on her waders and uses this net daily. The features that make this net perfect is that it is tough and doesn’t bend out of shape like she has done with so many other nets. She is extremely rough with nets. She also does like to let anything get away and this net has very small mesh, like a minnow bucket dipping net. This net was everything she wanted especially the extendable handle with the awesome grip. I searched for a long time to find a net this perfect for my daughter.

Great minnow/glass shrimp net. The People that give it a bad review probably try to overload it. I wouldn't use for a landing net because of bigger fish but for getting bait it's perfect! The ring at the end is pretty strong and the net is really fine mesh. So even the smallest minnow get caught.

It broke the first time we used it. It also smelled of horrid chemicals so we were probably polluting the water with it anyway. Into the trash it goes.

I use this for skimming the surface water of the duck pond therefore, probably not the best item as the mesh is too fine for my use. It collects the debris just fine but as it clogs the water cannot drain through.
Maybe for catching insects it would be ideal but not for my use.

This net has a very simple design and easily telescopes to whatever length is required. Very sturdy and I’m sure my grandchildren are going to love playing with it at the lake!

I couldn’t tell you a single thing about fishing other than my child spends most of his day on our lake. He’s been very happy about catching his own minos and the net appears to be solid quality. It has a smooth telescoping pole and a very fine netting.

We left our old net at the beach and I am glad we did. since it forced us to upgrade to this fishing net. The net is strong and has a wide mouth. The pole is metal and is telescoping so it expands to the length you need but is not heavy. Our girls used it recently on a hiking trip to catch minnows in a mountain stream and caught a huge amount in one swoop. People stopped to ask us where we got such a nice net. Highly recommend!

the handle is sturdy and well constructed, but the ring of metal at the net is cheap and hollow—it bent right away and eventually snapped. The net material was flimsy and tore. This net did not make it through a single fishing trip. I would have returned it, but we ended up beating the crap out of it just trying to make the best of it for the rest of the day. Complete garbage, Amazon-to-landfill in a day.

It is a great net to carry when trucking through brush heading for water. Surprising how small a package it can be. Only issue is do not net a fish caught with a treble hook. The net is great for minnows, not big bass.

I used this recently to catch blue crabs. The handle bends so much in the water when trying to scoop them up. I feel like its only a matter of time before it snaps.

Edit: I’m bumping up my review of this net because of the customer service this company provides. After writing my first review, the company refunded my purchase without me even reaching out to them. The net is flimsy, but it’s an excellent price. If it does happen to break on you, know that this manufacturer has your back.

We didn't actually buy this for fishing. We loved the telescoping feature and bought it to help collect tips during burlesque shows! HA I was a bit worried about the telescoping part though. I thought once it was fully extended that it wouldn't be very sturdy. I was wrong. It's very nice and sturdy. I'm thinking about buying another one of these to actually use for fishing!

Downright dangerous for children. The net broke almost instantly when my child attempted to use it in water. The broken metal stem left sheared metal that left a major cut on my Childs leg. Would not recommend this cheap and hazardous junk for anyone. Recommended remove this as a safety hazard.

I was really looking for a net with a wooden handle for the sturdiness but was unable to find one and saw this with a telescoping handle. This seems like a great idea because the net is for a child to use on the beach so the thought of different handle lengths is appealing. The only drawback is that I have difficulty making the telescoping feature work. It might just be me but the telescoping feature seems harder to use than it should be. I fear once sand and water get on it that the telescoping feature will not work at all so time will tell.

We bought two. One held up and this one didn’t ☹️. It bent within the first 30 mins of using it to catch (and release) little fishies at the river. So a little disappointed that our daughter couldn’t use this fully as expected. The other one we didn’t extend it to the maximum- so maybe could be why it didn’t bend?! Anyhow, hoping this could be replaced - otherwise not a bad net really.

UPDATE: (I emailed the seller and they responded back to me within a few days. Customer service… they are excellent(hence added stars on my review)! They sent me a replacement AND another net with a super really stronger handle. I have yet to use it. Glad they sent me another since I last did my review, the second one bent as well. I’ve attached a picture to show you the difference between the “upgraded”.. replaced handle and the original.. (a BIG difference!). Still, bank on, it probably will break on you (but it can always be replaced I guess). I’m OK with that ????.

I bought these nets for my grandsons to take to the beach , they love to catch things in the water. They have a nice handle that extends, and they have a nice size net that has small holes so things don’t slip through. They love them! They were also a good price.

Product came in a tiny box and I was worried I ordered the wrong thing but turns out the net actually folds and the handle extends a huge amount. For a foldable net, it has a metal rim that is very sturdy and the mesh is very fine, perfect for my use of catching small aquarium fish. The extending pole is a little less sturdy than I would like, but for how far it extends it is pretty impressive how sturdy it still is. Overall definitely awesome for the price!

Kind of flimsy.

My daughter has used it at our pond for catching minnows, tadpoles, and frogs and the very first outing with it we had to duct tape a section of the circular part at netting. It broke.

We have to tighten the screw part at the net and rod quite a bit while using. It won’t hold well.

The real review : Low quality

There is nothing bad I can say about this net. For the price, it's really got the competitors beat!
This net has a nice telescoping (old radio antenna-style) pole. It really shortens down to a nice compact size which fits nicely in a hiking pack kit.
This also has the ability to lock in place, so the pole becomes very rigid and can stand up on it's own. Some of the other styles of telescoping poles seem to not want to lock into place well, and become unstable, but because of this pole being of a thicker diameter, it easily locks and becomes a decent weight to hold a good amount of payload. Could probably hold up to 6 lbs. or more, though I have not tried. It's definitely supple enough.
The basket material is also durable, and nicely made. Seems like it would be simple to replace should it get torn.
Overall Rating: A++

Pole of net broke within 2 days and cut my palm open. I bought two of these and the both broke within days. I used them in a creek for minnows.
