Net would function OK in a limited way. Did not seem very durable as the synthetic lines seemed a bit weak. Better to go to a higher quality, more expensive net

The zinc weights are a little lite weight and the monofilament is not heavy enough to withstand a few oyster beds. After a few casts over 2 days, the net developed a few holes in it.

My son paid for this item and used it about ten times before it had holes in it and he could no longer use it. Very disappointed in the quality of the product. Hands down not worth the money.

At first glance I loved what I seen in this cast net. I ordered a 4 feet net since I use them in creeks and bait ponds but the one that showed up was a little over 6 feet. Oh well. I loved the rope and weights used but the netting had not really 3/8 nor 1/2 inch holes but somewhere in between. Just the right size that after a few throws allowed a neighboring weight to slip through and cause all kinds of problems. Which is not what you want in a cast net when you're on top of the bait. By the third day, or night in my case, the net was ripping by just large bait pulling against it.
I wonder why anyone would use nice weights, rope and hand make a cast net just to use shotty netting?. Well, my local WallyWorld quit selling cast nets so I guess I'll try and find what I was using at their online store and have it shipped to my local store. At least they last me one season before they rip to shreds and that's eventually my fault from throwing to close to brush or rocks.

This net throws okay even if the weights are really light but the net is a real bait killer.
I thought it was a fluke the first time I used this net that my caught mullet was jumping threw the net but as it turns out the net is so thin the bait either jumps threw the net or the fish get stuck in the netting. Won't rebuy!

Absolutely a piece of crap junk. Casted it in the water one time and it came up with tears in the net. I didn’t even feel any resistance when I pulled it up so I don’t know what it hit but I tossed it in the middle of the boat and that’s where still lays.
