Answer: Heavy duty line that I can tell you from experience is extremely hard to tear up.

Does the 7ft net open up to the full 14ft diameter?

Answer: Depends on how well you can throw it. Practice somewhere with a clean bottom or plenty of depth, without limbs.

Witch one is best mono or tire line?

Answer: If you are after Flathead or large Blue catfish, I'd pick 80 lb. mono. Set your drag to about 50% though. If you are just after regular channel catfish, no larger than 4-5 pounds, 20 lb. or even 12 lb. works.

Perfect castnet for a beginner like me. Easy to throw and durable to take some abuse. Easy to clean and store.

The Steel weights are to light an to far spaced, throws like trash sinks to slow tried to add lead wire, didn't work out well. do yourself a favor an get a good one like super spreaders.

Got the 4 foot net for getting baits in tighter areas, works really well. Nice strong net material, lead-free weights are nice, and it throws well. The bag it comes in is pretty nice too, never seen a cast net come with a zipper bag for carrying, only those plastic buckets. Makes it nice and easy to store, and the zipper is plastic so it won't rust to nothingness in a week of saltwater use. I do feel like I'll need to baby the case a little, but it does seem designed for saltwater use with that plastic zipper, just thought it was a nice touch.

Rust in one day. Ruined my bait box. Constantly tangles up and the horn cap came loose after 2 throws. Just save ur 25$ and look elsewhere. Missed my return day .

My husband wished I’d got him one that was a little smaller (I think I got the 6’ net). While this one covers a wide area, it’s almost too large and heavy for him to throw. He didn’t want me to return it, though. He likes it. Caught some larger fish, but also caught many tiny fish smaller than he has caught in other nets in the past.
Easy to put back in carry case. Great quality! Impressive!

Was excited about this net, however, after using it, I have to say it’s total junk! The weights aren’t heavy enough, sinks very slowly, letting the fish escape. Had a very hard time catching anything until I got a new net. Ended up giving this one away after one day of trying to use it!

Watch Drasry video and practice. You can make it and open as a cake. It needs practice. Nice. Only one thing is the blue cap loosen. If it comes often, I will exchange the bigger one 6 feet radius. I bought 5 feet radius right now.
