Answer: Hi, yes this cute bag sealer are suitable for Mylar bags, also suitable for chip bags, vacuum sealer bag, cookie bags, pet food bag and other PP, PE, PVC bags. Hope to help you.
Answer: Yes but it’s difficult to get it just right so it doesn’t cut through the bag. I’ve used it on a Doritos bag and ended up chopping away a lot of the bag when attempting to seal the bag
Answer: If the bags are designated as heat sealable then surely. So you must buy HEAT SEALABLE MAYLAR BAGS to use with this sealer.
Answer: Well it was supposed to, don't waste your money, this isn't working as well as the old one I had. It seems to be melting the bags versus selling them.
Answer: We did not use this on mylar. Some get pretty hot, so I'd be careful.

Answer: No it heats as you use it. When I use it I hold it at the 1st spot for a just a second then slowly move it to the other side. If you go to fast it will not seal and if you go to slow it will like take the top off as it seals. So it does take a few times of trying to get it right where u want it to depending on if you want it to have a part to grab or not.

Answer: Plastic bags. Not paper unless it has a plastic inner coating. It seals by heating up the plastic so that it melts to the other side.

It still looks brand new and the knife has never been used, its never been abused or exposed to water. I would like to suggest to the manufacture to improve the quality since the concept is still great. For consumers, I suggest to look around for similar and better quality products.

I bought this thinking it was going to save me so much waste from bagged items going stale. I got it popped the batteries into this bad boy placed the cover back on, walked over to my pantry to get a bag to seal, By the time I had gotten back it was sitting on my kitchen island smoking and smelling like burned plastic, I noticed that the metal rod that’s only suppose to get hot when the top rod is touching was burning the plastic safeguard to keep it from turning on… I think if I hadn’t been right there it could have caught fire I had it a total of 10 minutes before what I’ll assume is a malfunction happened … so I returned this fire hazard.
