Nerd Alert : Battery Issue, But Otherwise Nice

The battery compartment is a pain on this smoker. Battery barely fit in, to the point that it feels like something is wrong, and the cover is difficult to get back in place. It is also finnicky, with the device sometimes not turning on. When it does work, it works well. The device is basically just an air pump with a grate to burn sawdust on, with a plastic dome included. The plastic is on the cheap side and not something you can pop in the dishwasher, which is okay considering it does not come in direct contact with food. Still, this is not the quality I was hoping for and would only recommend it on sale. If it is on sale, it is a decent way to jump into cold smoking.

I got the starter kit so I had everything I needed in one box. It works surprisingly well for when you quickly need to add smoke flavor to a dish. I always wanted one of these ever since watching chefs on Chopped use it in a pinch. Now I'm a professional!
