The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has partnered with OceanGrafix to provide commercial and recreational mariners with the most accurate nautical charts. These charts meet the definition of a nautical chart laid out in SOLAS Chapter V Regulation 2.2 and also meet the carriage requirements defined in SOLAS Chapter V Regulation 19.2.1.4

Is there a smaller size

Answer: Unfortunately, there is not. We do not have re-sizing capabilities as the chart is printed off from a file that is produced by the government. The chart is printed on 36" wide paper so there will be some filler space along the edges of the chart as well.

Is this chart either water resistant or water proof? Is the chart suitable for framing (not folded)?

Answer: The chart is printed on water resistant paper with water resistant and uv stabilized inks. We ship it rolled in a hard cardboard tube, and it is suitable for framing. We recommend that you have the chart vacuum mounted to a foam board backer as this will smooth out any inevitable small imperfections from shipping as well as stabilize the paper to humidity that might make it buckle or ripple over the long haul.

Answer: The chart is printed on a water resistant paper. It is rolled ans shipped in a triangular tube unless otherwise requested and is suitable for framing.
