What are the dimensions of the net opening? Length and width?

Answer: Not for sure, but plenty large enough for a nice brown trout

How small are the net holes? Some of the smaller trout I have caugt in the past get wedged or slip through the holes on my current rubber net

Answer: small trout will not slip through the holes. However, flies will get stuck in the red nylon material at the bottom of the net. I have lost fish because of this. My recommendation is get a net that is all rubber.

Answer: theirs no way a fish is getting thru this net unless it is a minnow! I have caught /released 6" trout it is by far the best net I have ever used it tells the size of the fish with out holding it I highly recommend it.

Answer: I have yet to catch anything that will go through the holes in this net

Answer: Very small. No fish you catch will get through and it is actually the same reason I bought this.

I have been trout fishing since I was 6yrs old I'm now 34 and this has to be one of the best nets out on the market. There are cheaper ones but they won't hold up like this one!

The only thing keeping this from being a 5-star product in my book is the elastic cord that extends from the handle where the hook is attached.

The elastic wears out over time. Personally, I would have preferred a hole through both sides of the top of the handle with a split ring through it and the hook attached to the split ring.

Little bit larger than I thought but no complaints about it.

fisherman : Handy crappie net

This makes a great crappie net, the size and depth are perfect. I won't risk breaking my light line lifting larger fish into the boat, and this saves me from having to lean over the side the boat to lip them. The ruler isn't accurate so that's not very useful. My jigs tend to get hooked in the fabric, and fish slime tens to accumulate on the fabric so I'd prefer a full rubber net instead. But this one works really well as long as I rinse it good after each fish.
