Warm Tips
Please put the open end of the vacuum bag into the vacuum sealing channel of the U-shaped groove. It is recommended to reserve a length of 3 inches for sealing operation
When starting to seal, make sure that there is no grease, liquid or other impurities on the heating strip. Make sure there are no wrinkles or dirt at the opening of the bag.
Do not immerse the machine or its wires in water or other liquids for cleaning. Use a damp sponge or cloth to clean the surface or vacuum chamber.
After completing the sealing step, do not touch the heat seal immediately to avoid being burned by the heat.
Do not place the vacuum container in the microwave.
Please do not put the boiling liquid into the vacuum container for vacuuming, it needs to be cooled before proceeding.
Because of photosynthesis and respiration, when the sealed food is vegetables, fresh fruits or seeds, it is normal that the food will release heat and gas, not the seal is loose. It is recommended to store such food in a vacuum before putting them in the refrigerator, which will slow down photosynthesis and respiration.

Product reviews of Toprime Vacuum Sealer Machine with Container & Hose One-Touch 5 in 1 Food Saver Dry & Moist Mode
D. Fowler : Epic fail so I'm saving my money for a REAL Food Saver upgrade!
I’m no newbie to the Food Saver and have had one for years. I thought perhaps it was time for an upgrade as the Toprime vacuum sealer seemed to have everything I needed. It did, but didn’t if you know what I mean. It has a few extras that I’ve paid for in the past. For example, it has that accessory hose, which cost me extra this past year. They are handy for sealing Mason jars and the zipper bags. I’ve never tried the zipper bags, but there’s always a first time.
Now I’ve prepped for winter for well over 40 years and Food Saver has been a part of it. I’ve watched the Food Saver evolve from a simple sealer to a more complex one. As I mentioned, I did purchase that hose, something the newer models include. They also in recent years, added the roll and cutter features. I figured I’d upgrade, but my experience was a letdown. A huge one.
Sealing the bags was easy, or so I thought. I tried three different types: the ones included, another generic, and Food Saver bags. Their bags didn’t seal properly nor did the generic. I finally got a decent seal with the Food Saver bags after two tries. Initially, I thought I’d vacuum seal some milled flax seed using their bags. That’s when I realized the bag wasn’t properly sealed. Now that ended up on the floor. I’m determined and decided to try again with my Food Saver bags.
The sealing portion works well enough at times as does the cutter. Their bags are duds and the vacuum seal didn’t work at all. Try as I might, I thought I was doing something wrong. Turns out I wasn’t. I went to the Toprime site, which isn’t secure, so I backed out. Then I sought out a YouTube video, produced by the company. I wasn’t doing anything wrong as this machine is a dud. I’m going to save my money and purchase an upgraded Food Saver when they go on sale in my local box store. At least they’ll take it back if I have a dud.
Raging Stallion : Awesome Vacuum Sealer!
This vacuum sealer is perfect for my needs. I got this for meats that I buy in bulk at the grocery store or processing a deer and need to keep it fresh for long periods of time. This little sealer is easy to use and comes with two rolls of custom-cut packaging bags, few zip-lock style bags, and a container.
It does exactly what it's supposed to do, but I definitely recommend reading the manual in full before use. Make sure you take a minute in between uses to allow the vacuum to cool. Overheating could destroy the unit over time. If you're looking to store perishables in the freezer long term, then I definitely recommend this vacuum sealer.
Zephyr : Almost Perfect
UPDATE: I really felt I had to give a 6 month update as I am still loving this food sealer. This time, I have included up-close photos of how well it extracts as much air as it can. I haven't had to dispose of anything due to air leaking back into bags like what happened regularly with my FoodSaver.
Original Update: I've been using a FoodSaver for 4-5 years now and to be honest, I was so unimpressed. It was good for basic sealing but it never entirely removed the air (left pockets). Also, FoodSaver accessories are rather overpriced and we purchased a separate FoodSaver Handheld sealer and a lid sealer (items I believed should have come with the product in the first place).
To our surprise, the Toprime Vacuum Sealer comes with so much more and for considerably less money. First, I was so happy to see there was a space under the lid to store rolls of sealing bags, plus it has a built-in bag cutter (not my $130 FoodSaver). It also comes with a connector hose that you can use on ziplock sealing bags and Vacuum Sealing Containers (also includes one container).
I was pleasantly surprised when it came to testing this out as it extracted pretty much ALL of the air leaving NO pockets. The Toprime Vacuum Sealer is WAY better than FoodSaver and it is $50 cheaper. The only negative thing I have to say about this product is when you close the lid on the bag, you have to push really hard to get it to snap shut whereas the FoodSaver has a simple leaver to lock it in place. Overall, the Toprime Sealer is so much better that I am getting ready to sell my FoodSaver.
Dr. A. Smithe : Best invention ever
This vacuum sealer is the best thing since sliced bread. It's exactly what the doctor ordered for my family of 8! We go through sooooo much food. And nothing gets on my nerves worse than when it is wasted due to spoilage. Ive never had a vacuum sealer before now and I don't know how I lived without it. Now I can get seal up my ingredients for the week and not have to stress if I want to change up our menu, because the food is still fresh now. I couldn't be happier. I think this is easy to clean, not that I have anything to compare it to, but still. And the most important thing other than how well it works is how easy it is to work. Having never used one of these machines I knew I wanted something very very simple to operate. And that's what I got with this. If you're in the market for a vacuum sealer I so highly recommend this one. 10/10 recommend!
AlCl : Good value, but can be touchy on bag placement. 3.5
You need to get the bag placement perfect on this unit or you'd almost swear you got a defective unit. It can get the job done though. My favorite part about this food saver is the included Tupperware style container that you get with it. We use that to extend how long our food stays fresh whenever we make chili or other things that can fit inside. It even has a spinning date selector so you can keep track of when you placed it in the fridge. It works via a suction hose that connects to the top of the container. I love that feature. It is nearly impossible to break the vacuum seal of the container without touching the silicone valve on top that releases the pressure. It is a brilliant design that makes me wish they included 2 or 3 of those containers. You also get some storage bags that you can seal on both sides to store food and instructions are included as well. One of the best reasons to go with this food saver over another is the wider sealing surface, which will place a stronger seal on your storage bag. It is good if you can get the bag placement and suction just right, but we have another food saver that has much better suction and isn't nearly as fiddley with the bag placement. I can recommend based on the smart vacuum sealable container. This product is really more like 3.5, but if can get the job done if you are using this on mostly dry food storage.
MJBurroughs : Easy to use
Easy to use and it’s a super simple concept. The sealing is good and it sucks all the air out as promised, ready for freezing. The bags seem good and it looks like it would work with most bags of its type. Not too many complaints at this point, it does what it’s supposed to do!
ChrisN : Looks nice works ok
The Toprime vacuum sealer looks nice and has a pretty low profile. It comes with two small rolls of the small bags and a couple of other accessories. What I like about it is that it doesn't cost much and it looks nice. It also doesn't take up much space. What I don't like are several things. There are several steps required to cut a bag and vacuum seal it. For one, it has very limited space for a roll of bags. I have a higher end vacuum sealer that fits larger rolls and doesn't require opening every time I need to cut a new bag You have to open this Toprime machine up to roll out some bag to slice it. Then you have to place it right to seal it. Once that's done, you roll out the amount you need and slice again, but the wider rolls just barely fits so you have to maneuver the bag under the blade. Once you're ready to vacuum seal, if your bag has any fold to it, you have to adjust so that it lines up just right. Watch the video s and you'll see what I mean. The vacuum sealing area is also just barely wide enough to accommodate the wider 11 inch bags that are standard. When I vacuum sealed a second bag, it didn't quite lay flat and couldn't get a good seal so I had to re vacuum and seal a second time. For the price you're paying, you can't expect much more. It's between 3 and 4 stars. I'll round up. It gets the job done.
Elle B. : Nice, sturdy vacuum sealer
I’ve owned several vacuum sealers, and this is one of my favorites. As far as vacuum sealers that aren’t from a top name brand go, many of them tend to feel plastic and cheap. This one manages to feel very sturdy without weighing a ton. While there is still plastic on the body of this machine, it feels thick and high-quality. I don’t worry about this machine cracking from repeated use or wearing out too soon.
The design of this vacuum sealer is fairly basic. If you’ve ever used one before, you’ll be able to figure this one out fairly quickly. The most difficult part of using it is the arm strength required. You do have to push down on both sides of the lid with equal strength to clamp the bags in before sealing. If you have limited arm strength or mobility, this may be a challenge. Using the hose attachment is also quite easy. Keep in mind, however, that it is not a universal attachment. If you have name brand containers that you were hoping to use with this machine, the attachment for this machine is a male attachment, versus the name brand which are female. They are not interchangeable.
The most disappointing thing about this machine is the container. They do mention in the listing the size of the container, so I won’t be deducting any points from my rating, but it’s awfully small. I couldn’t think of a single use for it. It’s not large enough for anything I would typically want to keep vacuum sealed. I have other vacuum seal jars and I use those to hold nuts, fresh fruit, and to marinade meats. This container isn’t large enough to do any of those and anything small enough to fit in it is probably going to be eaten before it goes bad anyway.
Overall, this is a decent vacuum sealer that I would recommend to anyone looking for a standard use sealer. If you plan to seal extreme amounts, this may not be the best choice, but for the average household who plans to use this a few times a week, this is a great option.
T Stanley : Sealer with all the extras I wanted.
The sealer has the common features like dry or wet foods and a pulse setting. Like most machines, it includes a set of starter bags so I could start vacuum sealing right after receiving the unit. The sealer works well - it vacs out the air well and the seals are all strong. I have used some off brand bags and they work fine also. Be aware the unit supports bags up to 11" wide. This is plenty wide for my use but worth mentioning. For the price range, I've not seen a sealer that doesn't include a bag cutter so that isn't much of a differentiator for this unit. But the cutter does work well. The part that I do like is that this has a bag holder in the machine. It does save a bit of time when pulling the sealer out. And this is one of the smallest footprints of any sealer I've seen that has a holder for the bags in the unit. Another item to note is that the hose attachment piece is included. Another brand I have did not include this attachment and if you have bags with the hole in the side, you'll need this. I feel like this is a really good value for all the extras.
Carol : great for both dry and moist foods
This is the first vacuum sealer I've ever used. I like the moist feature. I wasn't sure how it worked before trying and it was a little scary seeing some of the liquid from our moist foods - raw meat - appearing to be sucked into the machine.
However, there is a little reservoir that liquid is collected in, so the electronics are not affected. After you are done you just wash it and you are good to go again.

J’adore ma scelleuse! Aspiration et le scellage son rapide et Je donne un 4etoiles parce que je la trouve un peux bruyante mais pour le prix, je suis très satisfaite.
Daffy Du : Seems to do the job, after learning curve
I ordered this at a friend's suggestion, after ordering some luscious fresh fish that was more than I could consume quickly. The instructions are pretty simple, but I wasn't entirely clear how everything worked, so my first attempt did the sealing part fine, but not the vacuum part--I didn't realize I had to click the top down hard for that work. For the second piece of fish, I nailed it and it worked fine. It is now residing in my freezer.
I'm actually very pleased to have this now because I typically buy more fruits than I can eat (especially strawberries), and this will now allow me to freeze them for future use without lots of frost accumulating in freezer bags.
I'm very happy with this!

ricc0 : Gets the basics done
Decent vacuum sealer that includes everything you need to start up. Bags, hose, and a vacuum canister are included. I'm not going to parrot all the features - they are in the description. The operation is fairly simple although larger rolls of bags can be a pain. The unit looks good and is of a low profile. Suction is as good as you'll get in this price range and the dry/wet feature is nice.
Susan Hale Dake : Vacuum Sealer
This is a decent quality sealer. It seems to be decent quality for the price. It seals good and it's easy to use. Would recommend.

Dove96 : Slim and Seals
I have a Vacuum Sealer that is getting quite old and decided to order the Toprime Vacuum Sealer to replace it. The slimmer design is easier to store and the container option is a nice option. The rolls of plastic bags do not fit into the storage area of the Toprime – smaller rolls are needed or I just cut them and keep the rolls in a drawer. The cutter doesn’t work very well and binds when cutting. Biggest problem but at the same time something I love is the locking mechanism. A lot of pressure required to snap the top down to engage the lock. Once finished the release buttons also need a fair amount of pressure. Not only is this hard to do I worry that the machine will suffer due to the stress.
The sealing job is good. I love the thicker seal width. The vacuum pressure is OK but not as good as my other sealer.
It is an OK sealer for someone wanting to save space, only does it once in a while and/or for someone without physical issues.
Linda : Toprime Vacuum Sealer VS6603 One-Touch 5 in 1 Food Sealing Machine Dry & Moist Mode
Very satisfied with this product. Easy to use and works well. Seller delivered as stated.
gsxr : Powerful suction, lots of accessories
I really like this vacuum unit. It is easy to use, has powerful suction, works well, and comes with a lot of accessories. The accessories include 2 rolls of vacuum bags, 5 suction zip lock bags, 1 small plastic food container with a suction valve on top, the suction hose, and of course the power cord.
I like to buy frozen food in larger quantities at big box stores, then divide it into smaller portions, vacuum seal, and put in the freezer. This unit makes this fast and easy.
With this unit, I can also place leftovers from dinner or food we bring home from restaurants in the zip lock bags and valved plastic food container and vacuum seal those as well.
Finally, I vacuum seal food using this for sous vide cooking. This unit does everything I want it to.
Steve Fahnestalk : This one really sucks--and that's great!
Not only is the suction great--much better than the old ones I gave away the other day--but it appears to do a wide (1/8"-ish) seal, which I'm sure is better than the seal on the old ones which were the width of a wire. The suction is adjustable, and we've fallen in love with the vacuumable ziploc-type bags. We'll be ordering more of those than rolls of sealable plastic, I think! Great buy for the money!
H. Martin : Toprime Vacuum Sealer
I’ve become a little experienced with vacuum sealers and have been trying the perfect one for me and I’ve found it. This vacuum sealer comes with quite a few different accessories. It comes with reusable zipper bags, 2 rolls of vacuum bags, a vacuum container, and a vacuum hose. I also like that the box shows you the preservation life of several different food products.
Though this vacuum sealer is lightweight, it’s sturdy. It was a little hard to lock it down the first couple of times but it got easier. I decided to make homemade mashed potatoes and to freeze them in individual servings to save myself time in the future. The cutter on this sealer worked well and easily. I didn’t use the vacuum hose yet so I can’t say how that works but so far everything else works great. It sealed my bags quickly and with no issues.

V-TEAM : This one is a keeper!
My last food vacuum was sheer junk. The automatic vacuum did not take out much air; I had to reseal bags 2-3 times; and the sealing strip decomposed like old foam rubber in less than a month! Although Toprime’s Vacuum Sealer is pricier than my last food vacuum, Toprime’s is a vast improvement on many levels:
PROS • Its powerful motor sucks ALL the air from the bags in less than 10 seconds, both in dry & moist modes. • It seals completely IN A SINGLE PASS, creating a neat, wide, professional looking, airtight seal. See photo. • It includes a CONVENIENT, tidy, built-in holder for storing a roll of BPA-free plastic bags. • It includes an effective cutter that makes CUSTOM sized bags without removing the roll. • It is COMPACT enough to fit into a narrow drawer. • Its ASSESSORIES - vacuum nozzle & hose - work perfectly on the canister and zip lock bags. • Its modernist, minimalist exterior is easy to clean and appealing to the eye. • It includes concise, legible directions with helpful illustrations that make it simple to use. • It is easy to find appropriate replacement bags: Toprine manufactures its own bags, but all my other brands work just as well.
CONS • Price point is on the high side. • Motor is noisy, most likely because it is more POWERFUL than I am used to. • Ad photo & video show a wine stopper, which was not included in the packaging.
FINAL ASSESSMENT I am impressed with the performance of Toprime’s Vacuum Sealer. The price point may be high, but I feel I now own a high functioning, trouble-free food saver with lots of thoughtful accessories. The component parts are sturdy and look as if they will last. It cost 25% more than my last food saver, but Toprime’s has given me twice the performance.
Brian M. Levine : Not sure how it works, but it does
One could say it’s a bit of magic. You close the lid, press the button, and air is sucked out of bag and the bag is sealed. It’s easy to use and even has a QR code for online videos. It comes with some nice accessories as well. There is a cutter to slice the bags to size and several options including auto-vacuum and seal, just seal, or pulse.
David A. Baer : Takes up some kitchen real estate, but well worth the sacrifice
The Toprime Vacuum Sealer with Jar comes with some confusing directions, but ends up being quite user-friendly. It’s great to have it show up with two rolls of bags ready to go, plus some other bags, a container, and vacuum attachment. So far, it has worked without a hitch. I have now used it several times to freeze chicken, which I’ve then cooked via sous vide with no leaking from the bags. The cutter inside the device works well. When using the 'vacuum and seal' option for moist foods, the fluid has collected in the channel and been easy to wipe out and disinfect. I’m beginning to wonder how I lived without one of these, having only previously tried thrift store/yard sale purchases that never worked consistently. It takes up some room in the kitchen, but for all its convenience, is going to be well worth every inch.
CT : A very fine product
I used this machine for freezing grapes from my vines. I make grape juice all winter using a food processor. I also freeze diced tomatoes for my special homemade soup that I make during these cold Winnipeg winters. At first I made a bunch of sealed bags but didn't wait the required 1 minute cool down time and the machine popped! Dead! I immediately ordered another one and have been using it successfully ever since. The little freezer cup is handy for short term freeze jobs. And the reusable ziplock bags come in handy. Some of the best suck jobs I have ever experienced! I recommend this product.
Amazon Customer : Well designed unit with multiple features and attachments
I have had multiple vacuum units in the past and most ended up being a disappointment, either because the broke or they didn't have the features I wanted or needed. On some the sealing filament broke, some the bag cutter broke, some didn't have roll storage in the unit, some did not come with a bag cutter.
This unit not only has those features but also comes with an assortment of seal-able zip bags as well as a vacuum container which I find useful since most units have the function of using a vacuum hose but don't include the containers to use them. This one did and it works quite well. It also has a pulse function that helps keep soft foods from getting squished when pulling the air out of the bag. The sealing strip is nice and wide giving that added assurance that the seal will not break open. The touch buttons are user friendly and well marked.
I have had this unit for a while now and have not experience any problems yet. It is probably the best value for the money that I have used. I would highly recommend this for purchase.
Lynn Drouin : Vacuum Sealer Machine
I was expecting a better fonction of the sealer machine. It is not user friendly. My old one was doing a better job.
greatist stories : Vaccum sealer for multiple purposes and works perfectly.
A great, well made item. High quality and very useful. pulls almost all of the air out fo the bag. Seal is air thgit and strong. Fits all kinds of meats and vegetables and left overs. very versatile.
Crazy Craze : Seals very well. Convenient storage/cutter for rolls.
We use a sous vide machine often so we're always bagging stuff up with vacuum sealers like this. This Toprime unit is quite large and reminds me a lot of a big food saver model that we also had... though surprisingly, I found that this model worked better for us since this one consistently sucked out more air (the food saver had an annoying habit of deciding it was done sucking and started sealing by itself). The end result is that I get really, really firm seals with this which I really like.
We mainly use pre-made pouches for convenience though we also use rolls from time to time for larger items like ribs. Like our food saver, this accommodates a roll into the unit and cuts it in a nice clean straight line. I really like this feature though it does make the unit a bit bulkier than other models.
I do wish that the hose was integrated into the unit and just "pull out and retractable" like my other unit... but at the same time, I really can't say when was the last time I actually used the hose function... I guess it's just one thing you'll have to put away and try not to lose though!
Candice P. : Love it
I love how sturdy this is. It gets the job done and I save on freezer bags!
Mat L : Surprisingly good for the price
Perfect when you have a few things to vacuum. Takes a bit of down time between each sealing (10 secs or so,) but I wasn't expecting something this good for this price.
Amazon Customer : Fantastic Product
Had an issue & unit was replaced, excellent customer service
Dr. A. Smithe : Totally worth it
I have always wanted a vacuum sealer. Always. And now I actuallt have 2, both from Toprime. To clarify, the black and the blue from this brand are identical from what I can tell, aside from color. So this review pertains to both. The most important thing for me is ease of use. And I am so happy that I can say, this baby is simple! It is simple and it has done so much for me. I have a large family - 6 kids and 2 adults. So we buy in bulk and we freeze a lot of food all at once. I go through a lot of food but we were still having some waste due to freezer burn. I can't even begin to explain how ecstatic I am that thanks to this vacuum sealer I really don't have to worry about that anymore. And I used this on more than just food. Products that can go bad from air exposure, ive sealed them up as well. I went to town because this was so much fun for me. If you need a vacuum sealer, this is perfect. At the time of this review this unit is 75$ which is not bad at all!
Phyllis Staff : Did not work for me
I tried this food vacuum six separate times. I followed all instructions, but I got no vacuuming from this machine. Maybe I got the occasional dud, but I am unable to recommend this machine.

Sara : Money saving! especially now.
The amount of money we save by being able to buy meat, fish, veg and fruit when it's on sale can really add up. There is simply no comparison to using freezer bags. This Toprime Vacuum Sealer Machine keeps food fresher and more flavourable then using wrap or freezer bags.
Another benefit beyond taking advantage of food on sale, is that we now make fewer trips to the grocery store which is a good thing.
ShoppingGeek : WOW!! This one does it all.
My first vacuum sealer was a small one which uses zip-lock bags which have a valve on them to connect the device to. I was smitten with it at first, but then I realized the "reusable" bags are limited in their reuse-fulness, so I shopped some more.
My second one was a countertop model which came with some bags without valves. It sucks the air out of the bag and then heat-seals the top. The problem with it was that its sealer was not hot enough to seal bags from other companies. I know because I bought rolls of 3rd-party materials which you are supposed to cut to size, seal one end, insert food, and seal the other end, but no go.
So third time was the charm. This sealer not only comes with the rolls, but unlike #2, the roll fits handily inside the device (see pictures). It is also able to seal the 3rd-party rolls that #2 wouldn't.
PLUS, it also comes with the reusable bags with the valves as well as a sealable container and a hose to attach to them (picture). I find that it connects to the valves much easier than the small portable vacs and suck the air out much faster.
Even when using bags not equipped with valves, it's possible to reuse bags by cutting a bag open just below the previous heat seal, then resealing it.
And of course, the container can be used, washed, and reused as often as you want.
This one does it all. * * * * *
4-Month Update: I use this frequently and it continues to work perfectly.
AllGoodNamesRGone : Better than my food saver
Ive owned a vacuum sealer for years now and its always been a pain to measure, cut, and seal the bags. You need to get everything out separately and makes a bunch of mess on the countertop. This toprime unit solves this issue with a really ingenious design thats an all in one.
It has storage for the roll of bags inside and threads through like a printer. When you first install the bags, you pull it to seal the bottom end, use the cutter, then you fill with food, vac and seal the top. You wouldn't think it makes that big of a difference but it really does. It takes a lot of the work out when you're doing a lot of sealing. I used it recently to divide up bulk sugar that i bought in a 50 lb bag i purchased and it felt like i did it in half the time and effort.
The sealing itself is perfect and i have used it on 2 different brands of bags now, both worked great and sealed perfectly. I do like the auto locking method compared to my old one with a handle on the side. Not sure if that will last years and years but we will see.
I havent used the vacuum sealer accessory that you put into the top of a hard container to suck the air out, i dont really use those. It does look as good quality as my old one which i never used either.
Overall its a great vac seal unit and i am very happy to own it.
Shepherd Haven : Lack of suction, heater did not always completely seal bags
Sadly had two of these machines (a blue and a black) and both were under performers and we were lucky if one out five tries we got the results we needed. Sometimes the bags heated sealed properly and when it did we liked the wider seal but had to try a few times there was not a complete seal at one spot and seam would let go. These were with the vacuum bags provided with the machine. Then most often there was not enough sections using the dry function to get all the air out and then sometimes the bag would or would not seal completely. Using the wet function was even worst even after making sure bag was clean where the seal would lay. Definitely did not met the 6-9 seconds for dry function or the 8-11 sections when wet function was chosen. The control for manual pressure did not help at all. Not enough air was removed from the vacuum bags as experienced in using other vacuum sealers, even older style ones. Also have to click down hard on both sides of the unit to make sure it in correct operating position. The open end of the vacuum bag goes in the U shaped vacuum sealing chamber but its recommended to reserve length of 3 inches for sealing operation which seems to be a waste of bagging material. We went through an entire roll of film provided testing both of these Toprime Vacuum Sealers and were totally disappointed in the overall results and ended up going back to a much older machine which worked better than the Toprime one did. Was attracted to some of the features of the machine: looks nice, has low sleek profile, like the option for dry/wet, wider seal and includes a vacuum hose for some of our sealer containers. However it turns out this particular Toprime units were a waste of time, energy, money (overpriced) and resources ( vacuum bag film) since definitely did not as listed or as expected. No UL or ETL North American electronic safety markings.
David A. Baer : Takes up some kitchen real estate, but well worth the sacrifice

letmepicyou : Fairly easy to use, but could use better instructions.
The instructions for this are barely 1/2 sheet, very few words, some non-descript images, ect. Luckily, it's a vacuum sealer and not a more complicated device, so I eventually figured it out (this is my first vacuum sealer where I don't manually suck the air out of a zip lock baggie with my mouth - which works, btw). I like the flexibility that it offers in that it doesn't tie you to a single brand or type of bag. It'll pretty much use whatever you stick in it. Having looked at a few in the past, I've seen ones that could only use this or that bag. Only thing I'd like to see, really, is maybe a bigger container (the included one is maybe a pint?) or perhaps some mason jar lids/adapter? And a more meaningful display would be nice, something with empirical data not just an "it's doing something" readout.
Other than a few minor wishes/gripes, it's been a pretty good 1st vacuum sealer for me. I'll have to go shopping now for some bigger containers. But it works pretty simply (despite kinda bleah instructions) and seems to draw a pretty good vacuum, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. This has been a very solid addition to my slightly overflowing "kitchen gadgetry" collection.
