Answer: These bags were created to make sealing, storing, and even thawing and cooking as painless and hassle-free as possible and should work with in your Sous Vide. They are commercial grade and 100 % BPA Free, you can thaw and even COOK food right in the bag, without having to worry about plastics or other harmful chemicals (like BPA) leaching into your fresh, nutritious food.

It's not that I don't know how to use a vacuum sealer, it's that this one is pure garbage

Sometimes it stops working and I have to use vinegar and a towel to get the inside clean. Also, it is difficult to measure how far a bag can go into the machine, so I end up having to trim the edges because I stuff it a little to far in. Sometimes it won’t stop vacuuming and therefore won’t seal. Usually I switch it to the other mode (moist vs dry) and it does OK. The tubing suction thingy I have found worthless (maybe it is just me??), because I cannot find any bags the tubing part sticks into. Also, no containers are available that fit the units vacuum tube system.

The device looks good and the price is one of the lowest. So far I have had trouble with the sealed pouches holding their vacuum? I am now trying to make the pouch with a double seal, twice as much work! Also the owners manual shows how to use the external vacuum tube to vacuum seal food containers. The catch here is that container (with a special lid) is no available. Its like the company selling this device bought a closeout and really don't understand the function?

Never had a vacuum sealer before, but I always wanted one, finally got around to this system. So far, even 1790 product I've gotten has been fantastic. This sealer is no exception. It came with bags and I ordered more to have on hand. This device is allowing me to purchase the family size meat portions at stores for better values, come home and repackage in a more manageable size that I can easily store for later use. The bags can even be sealed again and again for dry goods or other things. I am in love with this device and I should have tried it out a LOT sooner.
