Vacuum bags need to be used with vacuum sealer. High quality vacuum bags play a key role in preserving fresh food. The thickness of our packaging bags should be over 80micron, between 80 and 85, to ensure that food can be safely sealed.
Use food grade materials PA + PE, with BPA free and LFGB, FDA certification. Safety, non-toxic, vacuum effect is better. PE is suitable for low temperature use and can be used in low temperature cooking.

These bags work for my old vacuum sealer machine (VAC 820), even though my machine is bigger than the length of the bags. They have a good thickness to them as I am unable to rip them apart. I can't tear the plastic with my fingers. This size shall last me a long time. I'd recommend these.

Not really much to say about these bags, like most people I would rather not pay the premium price for the official supersaver bags and these are a good alternative. They work and seal great with my food saver.

What You Get (Figure 1, 2)
1 roll vacuum sealer bags 16.5 feet (5m) in length by 7.8 inches (19.8cm)

I prefer the rolls over the pre-cut bags, because they allow me to cut a bag to the exact size needed. In addition, rolls are a bit cheaper then pre-cut.

Running a small catering business, vacuum sealing is a way of life for storing/freezing food items. After the initial purchase of the vacuum machine, the only added expense is, of course, the bags. So, I am always on the lookout for good bags at a reasonable price. These bags seem to fit the bill.

Use
Long roll vacuum bags work slightly different than pre-cut bags. Here a quick run through.
1. Place the open end on the sealer.
2. Close, and press the seal button.
3. Remove the bag and cut a length that fits what you are sealing.
4. Add the item(s).
5. Return to the sealer and vacuum seal.

Bottom Line
Reasonable price, sturdy construction. Just make sure that you order a size (width) that fits your particular machine.

I have been doing vacuum sealing for a while now and have had the chance to use all sorts of bags and rolls of bags. This roll was tested on the Nesco vacuum sealer.

WHAT IS THIS ROLL LIKE?
This comes wrapped in a simple plastic wrap with 1 green re-sealable tab that you can use a few more times to hold the roll shut.

THICKNESS
These are pretty thin. They are decent for soft things, things that are not overly bulky, or bags that are not packed too heavily. I also think that these are great for sous vide. I can use them over and over for sous vide.

VACUUM PERFORMANCE
These vacuumed well, but they seem so thin that I am not sure long term that they will stay sealed or keep out odor, etc long term. They vacuumed in quickly, however.

SEAL PERFORMANCE
These sealed very quickly and well. I sealed the bottom with a double seal and then filled the bag, vacuumed it and sealed as usual. I also added a 2nd parallel seal at the top.

THE BOTTOM LINE
These bags are adequate for sealing. In the freezer or if banged around, or with bulky and rougher edged things, these bags might leak over time. I use them mostly for storage of soft dehydrated fruits, herbs, and sous vide.

MY RATING
FOUR STARS. I wish these were a little bit thicker. They perform well, however, and for short term or softer dehydrated foods, they are okay, as long as they don't get banged around a lot. I keep mine in a bin sealed to minimize risk of that.
