Questions about Vacuum Seal Canisters by Vesta Precision | Great for vacuum sealing and storing liquids | Refrigerator and freezer friendly | 0.8 Liter
Q:
I have a Morpilot vacuum sealer with hose attachment, I was wondering if these containers would work with it?
Answer: From the images of the Morpilot hose attachment i found, it appears it should work.
Q:
Will this work with foodsaver vacuum sealer?
Q:
Can you reseal sauce jars inside of this item ?
Answer: If you mean, place the jar inside and vacuum seal the canister, then no. If you mean place the contents of a 24 oz jar into the container then yes.
Q:
How can you tell if it is really working?
Answer: Make sure the arrow is pointing toward vacuum. Your vacuum sealer should shut off when the container is sealed. Touch the rubber dimple in the corner to check the seal. If the dimple draws into the container it is sealed properly but if it stays popped out the container is not sealed.
Q:
Are these containers compatible with the Weston Pro-2300 vacuum sealer?
Answer: We have not tested these containers with every competing product, but most vacuum sealers that have a hose attachment use a similar terminus that may work.
Q:
Is this container microwavable?
Answer: Yes
Q:
What are the dimensions of this ?
Answer: Approximately 6x6x5 inches
Q:
I just received my product and can't move the knob to switch to vacuum seal. It's stuck in between the lock and unlocked positions. Can you help?
Answer: Does the knob twist in either direction? It could be that the alignment is off on the arrow and lock imprint and it is fully locked. Turn it the opposite way to the first position to vacuum, then back to seal once vacuumed.
Q:
I’m looking for a small vacuum canister that I can place directly inside my chamber sealer. Will this work or is a hose required?
Answer: No, this canister would not work inside a chamber vacuum sealer. The hose evacuates the air, but the knob on the lid must be turned to Lock to retain the vacuum.
Product reviews of Vacuum Seal Canisters by Vesta Precision | Great for vacuum sealing and storing liquids | Refrigerator and freezer friendly | 0.8 Liter
Stanley E Turner : Not sealing
I had high hopes for this, because the Vesta bags are working great. But I don't think this thing is even working. For one thing, the device did not even come with instructions, so I'm just experimenting, trying to figure it out. But no matter what I've done, I can't get a good seal. When I "seal" it, then open it, the lid just comes right off. There is no vacuum pressure, no need to turn the knob to release the pressure--nothing. So I'm pretty sure that it is not sealing.
morgen : Not Worth the Money
I purchased three canisters in various sizes. I thought the costs were a bit steep, but if they did all that they indicated, they would be worth it.
Within two uses, the largest container cracked in three places and would no longer hold a seal. The container had been washed by hand prior to its initial use and had been used to store items in the refrigerator. It had not been exposed to either exceptionally high or low temperatures. The manufacturer has replaced that item and so far the replacement is holding up. This is the only reason the product is getting a 2-star rating rather than a 1-star.
I have been using a second, smaller container to hold whole coffee beans until I am ready to use them. I am finding that the container is not holding a seal. I have not found any visual defect to determine the cause of the failure.
Peter_Mode : Broke in two weeks
I got two of them and the bottom has just cracked… not buying from this company again
MeMoor : Disappointed
The knob broke the first time I used it. It will not vacuum seal at all. I was looking forward to using it. I am so disappointed ????.
Greg : Works well, holds its seal
It works well, and did not lose the vacuum over one week. Be careful to read the instructions. There are certain foods that you should not put in it, like onions etc., because you will breed dangerous anaerobic bacteria that grow much better when there is less air in their environment. Be aware that because of the shape of it, the dimensions are not quite as large as the description suggests. I intend to also purchase the bigger one, and the suction pump seems to work very well.
