Questions about Vacuum Seal Canisters by Vesta Precision | Great for vacuum sealing and storing liquids | Refrigerator and freezer friendly | 0.8 Liter
Q:
I have a Morpilot vacuum sealer with hose attachment, I was wondering if these containers would work with it?
Answer: From the images of the Morpilot hose attachment i found, it appears it should work.
Q:
Will this work with foodsaver vacuum sealer?
Q:
Can you reseal sauce jars inside of this item ?
Answer: If you mean, place the jar inside and vacuum seal the canister, then no. If you mean place the contents of a 24 oz jar into the container then yes.
Q:
How can you tell if it is really working?
Answer: Make sure the arrow is pointing toward vacuum. Your vacuum sealer should shut off when the container is sealed. Touch the rubber dimple in the corner to check the seal. If the dimple draws into the container it is sealed properly but if it stays popped out the container is not sealed.
Q:
Are these containers compatible with the Weston Pro-2300 vacuum sealer?
Answer: We have not tested these containers with every competing product, but most vacuum sealers that have a hose attachment use a similar terminus that may work.
Q:
Is this container microwavable?
Answer: Yes
Q:
What are the dimensions of this ?
Answer: Approximately 6x6x5 inches
Q:
I just received my product and can't move the knob to switch to vacuum seal. It's stuck in between the lock and unlocked positions. Can you help?
Answer: Does the knob twist in either direction? It could be that the alignment is off on the arrow and lock imprint and it is fully locked. Turn it the opposite way to the first position to vacuum, then back to seal once vacuumed.
Q:
I’m looking for a small vacuum canister that I can place directly inside my chamber sealer. Will this work or is a hose required?
Answer: No, this canister would not work inside a chamber vacuum sealer. The hose evacuates the air, but the knob on the lid must be turned to Lock to retain the vacuum.
Product reviews of Vacuum Seal Canisters by Vesta Precision | Great for vacuum sealing and storing liquids | Refrigerator and freezer friendly | 0.8 Liter
Eric H : 2.4-liter, trouble sealing but easy to fix - VACUUM LOSS CHART ATTACHED, lose 20mbar/day - ok.
2.4-liter, a little trouble sealing but easy to fix - VACUUM LOSS CHART ATTACHED, lose 20mbar/day - ok. The twist-vent can be unscrewed past its stop (counterclockwise) to reveal the hidden silicone valve + seat. It looked fine but it was not sealing, so I just moved it a bit and closed up the twist-vent again, and it started working. So far it is holding good vacuum for a week.
Maybe in the future it will need some cleaning or silicone grease to help it seal again, or reduce leakage. It's fine for weekly pumpdown for DRY food storage.
I've only had it a couple weeks. I notice the vacuum breathes throughout the day, as exterior temperature rises and falls - that could be straight-up response to ideal gas law PV=nRT. Interior pressure (and leakage?) decreases when temperature decreases. Also interior humidity falls at cooler temperatures, which seems odd to me - maybe the coffee beans absorb more water at cooler temperatures.
HQS : Great quality
Very good quality. Much better than the canisters I purchased from the manufacturer.

Prof. Kittens : Strong Vacuum, Clean Design
I really like these containers for their clean, clear, polycarbonate designs. Construction is solid and they stack well. The containers are rigid and I'm able to produce a very strong vacuum. The lid will not come off unless the valve is opened and equalizes the pressure difference. If they had included an instruction manual this might get the last star. I literally had to search through the Amazon Q&As to find how to use this correctly. (They could have even just printed it on the box since they use that space to include 5 different languages of marketing information.) Also - I have a Fresko vacuum sealer and the standard hose attachment works perfectly fine with these.
In a nutshell - Instructions:
1. Valve has 3 positions, unlock - vacuum - lock. 2. Move valve to vacuum, connect hose, run vacuum, leave hose on. 3. Move valve to lock position, remove hose. 4. To open, move valve to unlock to release vacuum, open container.
MeMoor : Disappointed
The knob broke the first time I used it. It will not vacuum seal at all. I was looking forward to using it. I am so disappointed ????.
