how long does the food stay fresh?

Answer: It is much longer than the preservation in the refrigerator air, and it is longer than the box or direct fresh-keeping bag. The longer storage time depends on type of freezer and temperature at which you keep it.

This vacuum sealer can vacuum soup based food?

Answer: You need to freeze the soup first, turn it into a solid, and then vacuum seal the frozen food with this vacuum sealer machine.

Does this work on things that are dry and finely ground? Such as ground coffee, flour, etc? Would it still only pull the air out?

Answer: It can work on powder such as flour and ground coffee, pls leave 3-5 inches of bag material and also use a folded paper towel between food and top of the bag.Keep the open end of the bag clean before vacuum it. There are some relevant videos on YouTube that can be helpful.

Answer: Yes,I had purchased the large roll and with that I made the bags any size I wanted. I also sealed a zip lock bag and it worked.

Answer: yes,If you're planning on freezing after sealing, then freeze it first in a zipper bag, then take your solid marinade and vacuum seal it and toss it back in the freezer. If you're planning on storing it as liquid, you can run the vacuum manually and shut it off before too much liquid gets sucked in, but you may not get all the air out.

The Butterfly : Not a good product

This machine only vacuumed sealed ONE bag. After that, it wouldn’t seal or vacuum anything. I read the instructions several times and did exactly what they said. I wasted more than 8 of my own bags and most of what came with this machine. I DO NOT recommend this machine whatsoever.
