Hose suction--i use lots of mason jars. need a sealer with strong suction at the hose. anyone got a measurement of hose suction?

Answer: This can be used for vegetables.

Answer: I have used it for bread and a variety of vegetables but i I don't use the auto seal - I use the manual and it works great. The liquid seal works great for items that have sauces, etc.

Does thia machine work with the mason jar attachment?

Answer: It comes with a tube attachment so YES, if your mason jar has the ability to be vacuum sealed with its attachment, it will work. Note: I have not yet tried this, but the part is included.

Answer: I just got my mason jar attachment but haven’t tried it yet. I think it should work fine though as it has the suction tube port and a manual suction button.

will it hold 50 foot rolls of bags?

Answer: A 50 foot roll will fit but may not unroll easily for the first few feet of use.

Answer: No. I rolled off a portion of my big roll onto an empty tube. It didn’t take long and wasn’t too big of a hassle.

Answer: Hi, those bags should work. We just cannot guarantee the quality because they are not our brand.

Answer: The rubber strip on the upper lid is replaceable. The foam gaskets are also replaceable.

Answer: I'm not sure if it was part of a promotion at the time I purchased my PrimalTek, but the 10 year warranty did not cost extra.

Answer: It comes with the warranty, but you have to make sure and register it. Also I have not had to try to warranty it, so I dont know how the warranty process works.

Can I use this to seal mylar bags?

Answer: This unit will not properly seal mylar bags.

Answer: This will work with foodsaver brand as well as most others. I have used 4 different brands in it and worked perfectly fine for all of them. I have several different brand name machines and this one has been one of the better so far.

Answer: I’ve not tried fruit which is very liquid. One technique I’ve used for soft moist foods is to freeze the items on a cookie sheet for a few hours then vacuum seal. It solidifies the excess liquids and hardens the soft food structure.

Answer: Of course! If it’s fresh or especially juicy fruit, you’ll just have to follow the instructions and manually seal it which is easy with this sealer.

Answer: Yes, no problem. It has a manual vacuum feature to keep from smashing fruits and vegetables.

Sopchoppy : Best sealer I've had.

Over the past 15 years I have bought no less than 10 vacuum sealers. The Foodsaver Game Saver lasted 2 years which was by far the longest but all would result in vacuum loss in the freezer over time and it did not matter what bags were used. The Nesco V12 malfunctioned after less than a year by not reaching the needed pressure to start the sealing process. I believe the PrimalTek sealer will give much better results because of the stronger vacuum pressure and the wider seal bar. One unexpected plus is the PrimalTek will reseal potato chip bags. The only challenge was trying to catch it in stock.

I just got this and immediately used. Easy to setup and use. Not sure about all the plastic parts “time will tell”. The one thing that was very disappointing is the storage bag that comes with it. It looks like a very cheap shopping bag. The storage bag I got with my old $90 food saver unit was 1000 times better.

This sealer is a colossal waste of money! Bought it to mainly seal steaks and let me say it fails everytime!!!! Steaks discolor in less than 2 days!!!

After my Foodsaver died after only 2 years of little use, I started researching other sealers. I use sealers mostly around deer season when I am packaging some freshly made sausage, and occasionally throughout the year when buying meat in bulk then repackaging into smaller portions. The price point was higher than I wanted to spend, but I refused to buy another Foodsaver ( or any other cheaper brand) and I didn't want a large chamber vacuum. I thought this sealer was a nice compromise.
So far I love this sealer! The size is just right- I store it in the box it came in, and at about 12 lbs. it's not too heavy. It's much quieter than I expected. Once the lid is locked, it is hands free which is really nice when sealing many bags in a row. The progress bar is nice too, let's you know when it's completed. Love the bag roll holder with cutter- let's me store the roll right inside then custom cut my own bag to the size I want. Bags are sealed really well and I feel confident they will stay that way even after being jostled around the freezer. Stays cool even when doing large batches of sealing. And it has a 6 foot cord! I was also impressed that they offer a 10 year warranty.
I have not used the marinate or canister function yet so I can't comment on those.

All in all I am very happy with this sealer!

This unit seals better than any I’ve owned. However; the “features” leave much to be desired. If you like to seal before sizing and cutting as I do, it is almost impossible with this unit due to the storage and cutter being at the back of the product. Also, if you use the bag alignment guides, you’ll use about 2 inches of bag per seal. That’s 4 inches of waste per bag. That’s quite a bit if you are sealing individual portions.

After having purchased several lesser quality vacuum sealers, I bit the bullet and bought this product. My only regret is that I wasted money in skimping to buy cheaper alternatives that were inferior products.

Fire Arch : Great suction power and love that it uses a double seal!

This is a great machine. After using FoodSaver's GameSaver model for over 10 years, there are a couple things to get used too. First, need to size bags before you can seal one end. Second, need to press down on both corners instead of turning a handle. Otherwise, this vacuum-sealer is fantastic! I especially like that the vacuum seal keeps air from seeping back into the bag between the suction and sealing processes. It also works well with FoodSaver vacuum bags.
