Where is the canister attachment to be able to seal mason jars?? Why is this not included? Where do I purchase one?
Answer: Inside the unit is a port to attache the included vac hose, and the other end attaches to mason jar. It is included.
Q:
What about excess moisture from the food in the bag? How good is the seal with beef juices getting pulled towards the sealer?
Answer: I follow directions and keep the meat at least 3 inches from the top of the bag. When I am sealing meat with juices in the bag, it pulls some juices toward the sealed edge, but it's so fast that the juice never gets to the sealed edge. Of course I do not add a lot of extra juice, just the natural in the meat and maybe a teaspoon extra.
Answer: You have to try and eliminate as much moisture as possible. But, when sealing, I watch for the liquid to start getting toward the sealing iron area and will hit the Seal button to make it start its heat seam early. Once done, I wipe the sealed area and make a second seal about 1/4" past the first just to ensure it is not going to leak.
Answer: When set to Moist food, it pulls a much softer vacuum and begins sealing much sooner. As mentioned in another answer, you can press 'Seal' to stop the vacuum and seal the bag.

Answer: 1.27 cm or 1/2 inch.

Answer: fresh leaves, yes.. wash and pat dry. place inside a small (quart size) bag. vacuum using the dry mode, and gentle pressure or the bag will krinkle up. if it continues to krinkle up, try using the moist mode, as that does not continue to pull air out as long as the dry mode does. The other thing you could try doing is use an ice cube tray, add water to it, add one leaf per section and then freeze. once frozen, pop the ice cubes out and store in the freezer in a ziplock bag.
Answer: Not familiar with Guava Leaf, but when vacuum sealing anything moist you can pay careful attention to when liquid begins creeping towards the machine an press seal. This stops the vacuum and begins sealing immediately.

Answer: It has not overheated on me with doing 10+ straight seals ( have had need yet for more). I can tell you the Mueller I bought on Amazon would stop pulling after 3, drove me nuts. I own multiple different Inkbird products like insta read therms, multi port therms and everything works top notch. I would not hesitate to buy it.
Answer: The instructions say to wait one minute between sealing. Therefore, fill a bag, vacuum seal, open unit and remove sealed bag. Repeat process. Today I sealed 8 bags of homemade Bratwurst this way (small bags). I would suggest anything beyond that small task, you will need a larger Vac/sealer. But for my operation, it worked perfectly!

Answer: I returned the Inkbird Vacuum Sealer because it was extremely difficult to lock and when locked did not perform as well as I expected. Also, it was not large enough to accommodate Food Saver 11.8" bags. I did not even try to use it on the Food Saver containers I still have from my old Food Saver Vacuum Sealer, which I used for many years before it finally gave out.
Answer: I’ve been trying, but I can’t figure out how to make the hose compatible with Food Saver brand containers, which is a bummer.

The suction is bad. The machine automatically changes settings to "dry" mode every time you turn it on. The seal it makes is bad. I even returned the first one when it stopped vacuuming for more than one second thinking I just got a dud, and the replacement is just as terrible. Scroll away before you make the same mistake I did in buying this piece of junk.

I have hardly used it and unfortunately past my return date. I have wasted so many bags trying to get my meat to be vacuumed properly, read all the reviews and took others suggestions. The gold sealing bar is damaged and after i seal something, bag sticks in places when I pull it off. I'm really disappointed because I have the inkbird sous vide which I love and thought this would be just as good of a product. I can't sous vide my meat if bags aren't sealed.

LeonGT : A Versatile and Convenient Sous Vide Companion
I started sous-vide about a month ago using Ziploc and the water displacement method. What I have found is that air bubbles inevitably form on the contact surface between the steak and the bag and those places turn out to be unevenly cooked. I am sure it doesn't matter that much if you cook for much longer but I am kinda always in a rush for a meal! This vacuum sealer works very well in suctioning out all the air, which makes the steak in perfect contact with the heat transmission surface. It is also quieter and faster than Foodsaver from what I've seen in comparison videos. Great buy overall at the sale price!

I avoided trying Sous Vide cooking for a long time. It sounded like too much of a hassle. Really? Put your food in a plastic bag and let it cook in water for several hours? With this vacuum sealer, I can buy several steaks, add a little marinade to the bag, seal, and then put in my freezer. Food is already in the bag and ready for sous vide cooking. Great compact design of this device allows for easy storage.
