Answer: no. the American angler blade on the back end that fits into the knife is square on top and round on the bottom. the mister twister blades are round on top and round on the bottom. the last 10 shark blades I just recd I ground down the top to make them round instead of square. it takes 30 seconds on an electric grinder mounted on my work bench.

I bought three sets and the original set that came with the electric filet knife was sharper than any of the supposedly new replacement blades, even after I had been using the originals for over two years. I recommend purchasing a new electric filet knife that has blades that can be sharpened by the local hardware store.

This fits my American Angler knife ok but the box says GINSU brand not American Angler. Not sure who really makes it but I could not get a good filet off of the Crappie I caught yesterday. It would not cut through the rib cage and had difficulty getting next to the skin so it left lots of meat on the first two fish. I went back to my 5 year American Angler blade that came with the knife to finish the other seven Crappie and it worked much better even though it is getting dull. This is the first thin blade filet knife I have used so maybe that is just characteristic of this style. Whatever, it was "no bueno" as far I am concerned for Crappie. Will be looking for another style/brand, maybe buy direct from American Angler for original equipment blades.

I am very disappointed with this replacement blade. I have had two of these American angler knives and loved them both. However I believe something has changed and the prices went way up. This replacement blade is not sharp, old blade that I broke cut like butter, this replacement blade is like cutting through a rock and tears the fish up. The two blades don’t even stay hooked together which makes this very unsafe to use. Very cheap and Flimsy. The handle is going into the garbage and going to try to return the blades. I bought a bubba electric knife. No more American angler for me.

Best blades I've owned. I cut a lot of fish, (and I mean a lot!) and these blades, as well as the knife, hold up 3-4X as well as Rapala did.

This is an ideal electric fillet knife for doing panfish like bluegills and crappies. All of the other ones like mister twister,rapala have blades designed for game fish and are absolutely useless for panfish. The other blades are too wide while the shark blade is ideal because of its narrow width. However something I would like to add..This knife blade works only in American Angler and Ginsu electric knives. To make it work in a Mister Twister or Rapala you have to take the replacement blade on an electric grinder(about 30 seconds) and grind the top of the back of the knife that inserts in the knife. It is square on top and round at the bottom.By grinding the square portion on top you make it round like the replacement blades for Mister Twister and Rapala . When you are done They are round at the top and the bottom and will fit any manufacturer knives on the market. Trust me because I use the American Angler replacement knive in a Mister Twister handset. Why?? The American Angler gets too hot after 20 fish while the Mister Twister gets hot after 35-40 fish.NO comparison.I know. I am a fishing guide.

The other blades are too wide while the shark blade is ideal because of its narrow width. However something I would like to add..This knife blade works only in American Angler and Ginsu electric knives. To make it work in a Mister Twister or Rapala you have to take the replacement blade on an electric grinder(about 30 seconds) and grind the top of the back of the knife that inserts in the knife. It is square on top and round at the bottom.By grinding the square portion on top you make it round like the replacement blades for Mister Twister and Rapala . When you are done They are round at the top and the bottom and will fit any manufacturer knives on the market. Trust me because I use the American Angler replacement knive in a Mister Twister handset. Why?? The American Angler gets too hot after 20 fish while the Mister Twister gets hot after 35-40 fish.NO comparison.I know. I am a fishing guide.

Would barely filet a crappie. Thought I had it in wrong,but I didn't . Tried several times but put my old one back in and tossed the new one. Beware.

Fillets a ton of fish and still hold a good edge. The slim design gives you a better feel. I would like it even more if it were a little less expensive.

I am very disappointed with this replacement blade. I have had two of these American angler knives and loved them both. However I believe something has changed and the prices went way up. This replacement blade is not sharp, old blade that I broke cut like butter, this replacement blade is like cutting through a rock and tears the fish up. The two blades don’t even stay hooked together which makes this very unsafe to use. Very cheap and Flimsy. The handle is going into the garbage and going to try to return the blades. I bought a bubba electric knife. No more American angler for me.
