Answer: Bass net is 80” overall length, 11”x 38” folded. Walleye net is 72” overall, 11”x 33” folded

Answer: Yes this net works great. Easy on the fish as well. Love it.

Answer: Yes. Plenty big for both.

Answer: Each model has 3 lengths, stowed with the hoop folded, hoop open and handle pulled out, and then with handle extension pulled out. I selected the model that was long enough to use to net fish fully extended, and short enough to stow with handle collapsed and hoop folded on my boat.

How does this net perform with crankbaits? Do the treble hooks get stuck in the netting?

Answer: The mesh is coated, so hooks do not get stuck in the netting. This net performs well with crank baits with treble hooks. Good quality and worth the money.

Answer: The netting is coated, but it is not totally impenetrable. Still a great net; I have this one and the musky-sized one, wouldn't have any other kind. Folds up nicely, you won't be disappointed!

does the current picture of the item match the actual product - specifically the net. It appears most stowmaster nets have finer mesh/smaller holes.

Answer: They are half inch sized rubberized holes in the one we purchased 12/2013. This picture makes them look much larger.

A great net! It extends for maximum reaching ability. It has a deep net so no fish can jump out and get away. The best part is that it folds up nicely to fit where ever I want to put it in the boat.

Very easy to open one handed while fighting fish with the other. Means you don't have to carry it fully open whe fishing by yourself.

Had the Stowmaster TBS80N net for over 10 years and loved it. After an unfortunate incendent it ended up on the bottom of the lake. Replaced it with the TBS80NG. What a mistake. The finer mesh in this net swallows treble hooks. The only way to remove them was to cut netting that twisted around the shanks. Love Stowmaster nets but this one is a big disappointment.
