The folding shelf is great to have on my Traeger.

RHR3 : Good shelf, easy to fold an unfold, but....

I kind of think that if you spend $1000 on a grill, it should come with a shelf. Granted, the grill is excellent at what it does. The shelf is handy to use in most ways. It is easy to fold down and two pull up into place for use. The only drawback of the shelf is that it is on the front of the grill. If you set a plate of food on the shelf, it can easily be in the way of opening and shutting the grill. However, having a shelf is a must, unless you have a prep table next to your grill.

First off, considering the price of a Traeger this shelf should be included. That said, this shelf was cheaper and well made. It is easy to install, folds down so you can cover, and provides a large and stable place to rest serving trays, basting bowls, and grill tools without dirtying up the pellet hopper. Highly recommend.
