Answer: We use this scale to weigh our sheep in a cattle sling. It works great. The manual hold button keeps the weight at the weigh-in maximum so that it doesn't disappear or fluctuate as the animal moves. A very nice scale.

Can this scale be used for weighing deer?

Answer: Absolutely. This is the main reason I bought it. Used it on 7 deer this year and double checked with the scale at the LGS and it's dead on. Weighed my 122 lb doe and my 194 lb buck just fine!

Answer: Yes. I assume it will. I use it to weigh big flathead cats. Around 70lbs has been my largest, but the scale handled it easily. I have a friend who has used it to weigh his whitetail deer, most of them over 100lbs. Hope this helps.

Good scale. I use it once every day. Batteries last a long time. Light up display easy to read. Its modes are a little fickle. Purchased this to weigh the hogs I was butchering, and will keep it around for a fish scale. The scale performed well when placed between our pulley system and our gambrel. When raising it with a load on, if you pause in motion for more than about a second, it locks on and holds that as the maximum weight, even if what you are weighing is only partially off the ground. Once we figured that out, we had good success with using it. It will display a negative weight, so you can hang something, zero the scale, and then remove the item to get the weight that way as well. Decent product for the money. If you are looking for a scale that will handle more than 100 lbs, this is a pretty good choice.

It randomly will 'hold' weight. I hang up a pig and it had held the weight at 17lbs, then I tried again by lowering the pig, once again it decided to hold a weight at 14lbs, and it continued to do this 6 times. After 6 times I threw it in the trash. This isn't the first time. I love how this is $22 and I could have just burned $22 in my fireplace instead. Dont buy this
