Questions about Masterbuilt MB20101114 Universal Leg Extension Kit, Black
Q:
Will this leg kit fit the Masterbuilt 40 inch digital smoker; the ad says it fits all Masterbuilt smokers but the dimensions don't match the 40" model
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: I have the 40" top-controller Masterbuilt model 20070311 and this leg kit fits it perfectly.
Answer: I have the smaller smoker but the kit comes with two different set of rails. The longer rails are for the 40" models. These are great legs.
Answer: Yes, the kit has different pieces depending on what size smoker you are installing it on. Note the plastic base pieces and original wheels need to be removed to mount the stand.
Q:
Will this fit the Masterbuilt 30 inch model 20079015?
Answer: Yes i think so. When I got my stand, I called/emailed MB, they answered question, fast. However, for 30", DO NOT FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION! Put the 4 corners(legs) on first loose, the longest supports are not used and there are no doubles in those supports either. I called and got a tech to help...
Answer: yes it does
Q:
Does this fit bluetooth models
Answer: This will fit the Masterbuilt Bluetooth models, our Universal Leg Extension kit fits all Masterbuilt Digital Electric Smokers.
Answer: This stand is universal and fits all Masterbuilt smokers
Answer: Very confusing to assemble, instructions give do match model.
Q:
Do these legs replace the legs on my smoker from the factory or do they bolt-on to make it even taller?
Answer: This would replace the legs with current unit. They are universal so they fit 30 and 40 inch units.
Answer: Bolt on to make it taller.
Answer: Yes. They replace the smaller pegs from the factory.
Answer: No they didn't fit at all. We ended up having to cut and drill our own holes. Very disappointed in this product.
Answer: Yes
Q:
Does it fit 20075315
Answer: Fit my 20075315 perfectly!
Answer: If your 20075315 has the same footprint as 20071117 (my smoker) then yes. The legs provide a lot of wiggle room for different base sizes. Mine fit but it isn't like 'hand-in-glove' as some easy adjustments were necessary. So if your 20075315's footprint is different from my *0007 I'd say it will probably fit.
Answer: It says it’s fits all Masterbuilt
Q:
Does it fit the 25072215 models?

Q:
Does this fit the 20074719 model?

I do know the instruction sheet is not the best in the world but you can figure it out on your own. Possibly you can find the sheet on line.
Answer: Yes, this leg kit will work for the model number provided.
Answer: This stand is called the "Universal" model due to it's wide selection of adjustments that allow it to fit a variety of smoker models. To really confirm the proper fit it would be best to call Masterbuilt "Customer Service" and get your answer direct from the source. I have the 40" and it fits my smoker perfectly.

Q:
Will this stand fit mb21071216
Answer: It seems that some fit and some don’t. Probably depends on the mood of the guy in the assembly line. I’ve seen 2 that didn’t fit. I wouldn’t chance it if I were you.
Answer: great question, we had thoughts about whether or not it would fit ours. Different websites including MasterBuilt said different specs that it would fit. We did get it and installed it and it is great. We love the little lift so we don't have to lay on the ground to see the lower level of the box. Although I can't answer for your specific size I would recommend it. It fits ours which is the 30in model.
Answer: If you model is listed as fitting it should fit if not amazon is great for making returns because they know people make mistakes.
Q:
While checking out, I get an error that it can't ship to my location... in California. What's up?
Q:
Will this leg kit fit model mb20050614 44" gas smoker?
Answer: Check the specs.
Q:
I already have wheels with my 30" masterbuilt - does the 20101114 leg extension kit (which has no wheels) allow you to install your existing wheels?
Answer: The universal leg extension kit actually comes with wheels.
Answer: IT does not.
Q:
How much height is added when the wheels are installed, or are the wheels part of the 10" shown in measurements?
Answer: None the wheels set in and are only used when you pull so I guess your answer would be the ten inches is the measurement
Answer: No hight is add by installing the wheels. The wheels don't touch the ground unless you lean the smoker back.
Answer: The wheels do not add height, you tip it and roll on the rear pair.
Answer: I believe the wheels are included inside braces and work by tilting unit a bit and moving back or ahead...very nice improvement to a great smoker! Well done...
Answer: Thanks for the info and your help.
Q:
Does in come with wheels?? From Ceballa's & from Masterbuilt wheels are incuded.
Answer: There is a set of wheels that are located on the back legs of the stand. Makes it convenient to roll to n from locations..
Answer: Mine did. And despite the awkwardness of the installation, the wheels really do make it easier to get the smoker from point "A" to point "B".
Q:

Answer: Don't think so
Answer: Can’t say but go to masterbuilt.com site will have your answer there that’s what I had to do and it’s worth the money for the stand

Does this work with 20070210 / mes 35b electric smoker?
Answer: Hi Ross, the Universal Leg Extension kit does not work with the model 20070210 as this unit already comes with legs.
Answer: It should. Ours is a different model, but with different sized bars for different models, it’s very adaptable. The installation instructions are not good - you have to figure out which parts go with your model. I thought the 20070210 came with legs.
Answer: Yes. It fits ALL Masterbuilt electric smokers.
Answer: The leg kit that I purchased was for a 40" Masterbuilt so if your model is a similar size then it should fit.
Q:
Where are the leg mease from the 21.6 22.6 ??

Q:
Will the extension 20071114 stand fit the smoker 20071117?

Why can't this be shipped to California?
Product reviews of Masterbuilt MB20101114 Universal Leg Extension Kit, Black
Dan Paymar : Good but needs better instructions
Note the word "universal." It's designed for use with at least two models of smokers, and there are no instructions on how to determine which parts and which holes to use. There are six horizontal braces, and it's up to you to figure out which four to use. There are several holes in the tops of the legs, and no instructions on which holes to use for the bolts, so I'll tell you; use the holes that line up the corners of the leg tops with the corners of the smoker. It's unintuitive because on mine, these were holes that are much bigger than the bolts, and I would have expected much larger washers. Be sure to get all bolts started before tightening any of them. Once assembled, it's a very solid and stable base. With good assembly instructions I would give it five stars, but it took me over an hour and several scraped knuckles for what should have been a simple half-hour job.
TB : Worst customer service. Directions awful & no support
Absolutely worst customer service I’ve ever had. Phone number won’t reach any agents and website says you you have to leave info to get called back. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK. The left wheel arrived bend on the frame and it makes the unit only roll in circles. The assembly has awful instructions that don’t match anything. Missing bolts too. Finally had to go through a return / exchange to get a new one.
brown : Well looks like it came from HELL
The packaging is really bad. Looks like is been sent out to a customer before by looking at the old labels. Cheap order are shipped better than this order that cost a lot more.
Andre D Watson : Masterbuilt Leg Extension
The extension fits well on my Masterbuilt smoker. The leg extension is sturdy and well built. Makes it easier to use and access the smoker. Money well spent for this purchase.
M3 Pete : It DOES fit the 30 inch MB20071117 MES 130B - But you have to use the large bolt holes
This DOES fit the 30-inch MB20071117 MES 130B digital model, but the install is a little funky. On the front legs there are two elongated holes, these face each other and the elongations are parallel to the front of the smoker, see the photo of all four legs -- the smoker is lying on its back, so the door is at the top of the photo.
The obvious holes in the legs that fit the bolts are in the corners, but if you use them, then the front and rear bars won't line up. So you have to use the large holes next to the corner holes, towards the center of the smoker, as shown in the attached photos. These holes are way too big (you can still see part of the hole next to the washer in some of the photos), but using the big washers they will still work. Is this good engineering? No, but it does work. And everything else lines up just fine.
I suggest tightening the bolts, but leave all the screws just finger tight until you get it standing up on a level surface, jiggle the smoker to get it settled, then tighten all the screws. Since these legs do not have leveling screws, the only way to level the unit is to use shims (or whatever spacers you may have) under the legs to get it level.
And, like everyone says, the instructions are a joke. Drawings are too small, and you cannot see which holes are used for the bolts. For this model, you won't need the six smaller washers.
Mitch Wenger : Not the easiest installation, but it works
This item works fine as a riser for my Masterbuilt 20071117 electric smoker, but was a pain to install. For some reason, the pieces didn't create an exact fit, and required me to bend the legs somewhat. I eventually got it attached on all four corners, but it's not quite square with the smoker. If you're really picky about aesthetics, I'm not sure this will please you. I was more concerned with saving my back by not having to stoop over every time I use the smoker, so it's fine for me.
Bob D. : Nice stand, no more getting down on knees to use smoker.
Quality stand. Installation on my smoker #20071317 took less than 30 minutes. Instructions could have been better, just illustrations.
Suggest you leave side screws hand tight and then tighten them down after you turn smoker right side up, this will help eliminate any wobble due to uneven ground.
Only thing better would have been to include a handle to help control smoker when moving it around on the rear wheels.
Jason R : MES 130B
I also have the MES30. I read the reviews and bought this anyways. I don’t hate it, I just wish it fit a little better. I did as recommended and kept the legs loose to get everything together. That did help a lot. But as you can see from the pics the legs just don’t sit flush to the smoker. The legs are also not level so it wobbles. It’s sturdy and the wheels are a great addition to the smoker. It’s just driving my OCD a little crazy. If they made one FOR my smoker, I would have bought it. I like the stand and will use it, but you only get three stars because it doesn’t fit correctly and isn’t level.
feathers : Go over the kit contents before you start assembling u
The “kit” came with six side frames and I only needed four. Unfortunately I received only two of the length I needed....and two long ones that wouldn’t fit, and two others that were even longer, and that would obviously not fit. I received an email expressing it would take a few business days to get to a response for a different issue, so I shortened two of the incorrect length frames, drilled holes in those pieces, then assembled the stand on to my smoker. Whoever put together the kit obviously hadn’t a clue.very disappointed
martha j short : Don’t buy it.
Whatever you do don’t buy this stand. It doesn’t fit. I had 7 kids, I’ve put lots of stuff together in my lifetime. This stand doesn’t work. See the pictures. I put a similar stand together for my daughter, both Masterbuilt, both were claimed by Amazon to fit the respective smokers. Not so. Today I sent mine back and she sent hers back as well. The stand doesn’t come from the same place the smoker comes from. Beware.
Debra J. Taylor : Make your smoker easier to use!
We recently bought a new Master Built Electric Smoker and, although it had the feet/stand on it in the store, it did not come with it. We used the smoker once without the feet/stand and it was just too low to be easily accessible. So, I ordered this leg kit with wheels and it is wonderful! Much easier to put stuff into and take stuff out of with it raised up and on wheels. Also bought a cover for it because we will use it year round. Both items are top notch quality!
jim welch : Better be able to think outside the box to assemble.
More thought should have been put in the design. You have to think outside the box to put it together. But when it is together, it works fine. Instructions just pictures and incomplete.
Pam : Not difficult
It's really not hard to put together. You won't need two pieces in the box, and the size you don't need depends on your smoker model. Don't tighten the nuts beyond hand tight until you've put the whole thing together. The wheels are nice.
Andre D Watson : Masterbuilt Leg Extension
The extension fits well on my Masterbuilt smoker. The leg extension is sturdy and well built. Makes it easier to use and access the smoker. Money well spent for this purchase.
Ben : Great stand!
Fits Cabela’s Masterbuilt MES 140S. Great quality metal stand and plastic wheels. The steel nuts/bolts are porcelain coated to prevent rust. You will need some of the hardware from the original front feet of the smoker, as indicated in the directions that come with this stand. The stand is universal for all Masterbuilt digital electric smokers except MES400 series and above, as stated on the box for this stand. Overall very nice and worth the money.
AT : Bad instructions
Instructions need to be more clear. Just showing a pic of what goes where when it's made for 2 different sizes does not help.
When I opened the box seen the parts no bags were labeled 1 2,3 nothing. Instructions dont even show measurements which could help when the kit is for a 30 and 40 inch. Thought masterbuilt would have better plans. Only reason I bought this was it had wheels. If there is a next time I will just pick the smoker up and move it.
Kindle Customer : It serves its purpose
Installation instructions were a little vague, but I figured it out. Holes for 2 of the screws on the front brace never lined up, but it still feels stable. Wheels could be bigger. They almost serve no purpose.
Dan : Not a universal fit as stated
The ad says universal fit, but the box clearly states that only some models can use the extension. It must be for a much larger unit that my 7 in one Air fryer/Smoker. I really wanted the extension, especially with the built in wheels. I hope the make one for the model I have as it is way too low. Great unit though!
mb : Fits perfectly
I have the 30” smoker with digital unit on top (no window on door) and this was cake to install. I was a little worried when reading some of these reviews saying it wouldn’t work, but it’s all bogus. My 6 year old could do this with one arm behind his back.
Ignore the long pieces, use the right holes (large holes for front legs, elongated slots for rear legs), leave all just finger tight until everything is together, then tighten when done. Easy.
jim welch : Better be able to think outside the box to assemble.
More thought should have been put in the design. You have to think outside the box to put it together. But when it is together, it works fine. Instructions just pictures and incomplete.
K G : READ THE MANUAL BEFORE YOU COMPLAIN
I really don't see how people don't understand the instructions. It has technical drawings for different smokers and it's in multiple languages. The only reason it might be hard or a mistake made is not taking the time to go over your hardware and manual. My smoker's model number was not listed, but it fit and it makes it look handsome.

bigenewton63 : Gets the smoker off the ground and saves your back.
They send two different brackets, discard one set when done because you won't use it. Really, really should have way, way better directions. Other than that, if you set and look at it for a while it is easy to put together. Really nice to have the smoker off the ground. Can't for the life of me figure out why they did not put four wheels on it instead of two.
Travis : Very nice!
Watch the video listed in the description on Amazon! The guy makes it really easy on how to install because the instructions it comes with are terrible. *THE LEGS NEED TO GO IN SPECIFIC SPOTS, THEY AREN’T INTERCHANGEABLE*
It fit great and super sturdy. Really happy with the purchase considering the low price of making my smoker much easier to work with. Awesome!
Reader123 : Looks good, fits well, no longer supports cold smoker box (but can)
Product is sturdy and looks and fits (30 in) good even though it is usable on multiple products. Instructions are terrible. Be careful about L & R front legs; don't get them switched or it will not fit well. Totally assemble legs loose separately then install on the smoker. I have a cold smoker attached to R side and with the legs it no longer had any support hanging from the side 10 in in the air. I delayed this purchase because of this issue until I came up with a plan. I added a short angle bracket at back bottom of smoker (using the old wheel screws and attached to bottom of cold smoker attachment) for stability and to keep box from rotating around smoke hole in smoker. Then I riveted the unused 40 in. cross member channels (came with kit) together and attached them to the bottom of the smoker using sheet metal screws at the edges of the smoker (see the rivet pattern on bottom, there is metal flanges to secure to) This now supports the cold smoker very well and even better than it was. I'm ready to smoke again and have some GREAT smoked meat. I added some photos of the added rear cold smoker bracket and one showing the added support (using 40 in braces) under the cold smoker. I use a Bradley Covermates cover (avail Amazon ~$20) which fits great over smoker with cold smoker addition.

Bob : It Is What It Is
Its good but, there are some issues. I bought a "used" one for my Masterbuilt electric 20070411 30" and think I still paid too much for it. It was all in tact and pretty sure it had never been opened. Metal pieces all straight and no scratches. If you have a 40" there are two pieces in the box specifically for yours. It comes with wheels. Its easy enough to install (took about 20 min to unpack and install) but because the legs are slanted, the cross-members have two slanted holes at each end that have to match to the holes on the legs so you are having to flip the pieces around to make them match up. You are to use the preexisting bolts to hold in the front legs to the smoker. If your electronic control panel is on top back (like mine) then you can't turn the smoker upside down to work on it, you have to work on its side. However, I would recommend you do not tighten any bolts until you turn it right side up. That way the weight of the smoker will make sure all four legs are touching ground at the same time and THEN tighten them all so the smoker does not have an irritating rocking motion from leg to leg. There are no levelers to correct this issue and if your smoker leans forward (because all concrete is poured on a slope) your excessive grease will not flow to the trap (if its in the back like mine). If your grease trap is in the front then that's a good thing unless its also flowing out your front door...
Pros: Raises your smoker 10" off the ground so you can work easier inside and out.
Sturdy enough for the job.
Wheels
Cons: No leveling options except to stick a board under the legs.
Expensive - I could have built one out of boards or used cinder blocks.
Doesn't tell you what tools you will need (size of bolts). Its metric so I used a small crescent and a regular phillips
With good assembly instructions I would give it five stars, but it took me over an hour and several scraped knuckles for what should have been a simple half-hour job.
feathers : Go over the kit contents before you start assembling u
The “kit” came with six side frames and I only needed four. Unfortunately I received only two of the length I needed....and two long ones that wouldn’t fit, and two others that were even longer, and that would obviously not fit. I received an email expressing it would take a few business days to get to a response for a different issue, so I shortened two of the incorrect length frames, drilled holes in those pieces, then assembled the stand on to my smoker. Whoever put together the kit obviously hadn’t a clue.very disappointed
KSG : Not difficult to assemble
Several reviews mentioned the difficulty to assemble and this caused me a delay to order. This was NOT hard to assemble. Someone mentioned missing bolts for front legs: instructions clearly state to reuse existing bolts from your smoker. Someone mentioned came with two sets of front and back bars: this is a universal stand use 30” inch for 30” inch smoker and 40” for 40” smoker. Someone else mentioned side bracket holes did not line up: holes are angled and if the do not line up then rotate side bar 180 degrees. I would suggest laying smoker on side and on a table then only hand tighten bolts. Once all bolts are in, then tighten with ratchet.
A. Tyra : Ok but.....
Missing two large washers. Contents were scattered inside the packaging. Not a huge deal but the legs appeared to have been assembled, undone and repackaged (sloppily).
Bill : Sturdy and raised the smoker to a much more comfortable and usable level. A must have for your smoker. Fits MES 230G well.
Great price vs. MSRP. Sturdy and raised the smoker to a more comfortable and usable level. A must have for your smoker!! Assembly is easy BUT beware that you will need to re-use some screws from the standard feet of the smoker. They include crossbars for both the 30" and 40" smokers. You will need a magnifying glass to read the small print and illustrations of the skimpy instructions. The stand did fit my MES 230G smoker well and raised it up enough so I don't have to get on a knee to use it. My assembly advice: lay the smoker on its left or right side elevated (I used a garbage can). Also leave all screws loose until the entire stand is assembled then you can tighten them as you align the stand with the bottom of the smoker.
I was more concerned with saving my back by not having to stoop over every time I use the smoker, so it's fine for me.
bigenewton63 : Gets the smoker off the ground and saves your back.
They send two different brackets, discard one set when done because you won't use it. Really, really should have way, way better directions. Other than that, if you set and look at it for a while it is easy to put together. Really nice to have the smoker off the ground. Can't for the life of me figure out why they did not put four wheels on it instead of two.

Chip Mc : Great addition to the smoker!
My dad bought a Masterbuilt smoker, but the only bad thing about it was that it sat right on the ground. My dad said it would be a little difficult for him to get up and down that low while taking food in and out of the smoker. After he bought his smoker, I bought myself a Masterbuilt smoker on Amazon Prime Day(got a great bargain!), but mine came with these legs. Once my dad saw mine, he had me find him some on Amazon and order them for him. He installed them in a very short time with no problems. It raises the smoker up nicely and gets it off the ground! Recommended for price, ease of assembly and functionality.
brown : Well looks like it came from HELL
The packaging is really bad. Looks like is been sent out to a customer before by looking at the old labels. Cheap order are shipped better than this order that cost a lot more.
A. Cafardi : They were very easy to install simply install all nuts and bolts loosely ...
The universal legs allows it to fit either the 30 or 40 inch master built smokers. They were very easy to install simply install all nuts and bolts loosely and tighten them all up once it is all together. Having the smoker lifted almost a foot off the ground make it much easier to get the racks in and out.
This was a very nice addition to my smoker. The legs make a nice solid base. I would recommend this product for 30 or 40 inch master built smokers, the wheels make it easy to move the smoker around if you want to move it. Installation took about 10 minutes, Very easy to install.
Audie : Worth it, wouldn’t want to go without them.
My son put mine on my smoker. He didn’t have any problems. Good to get it up a little. Makes tending the smoker so much easier plus the two rollers allow movement. Four rollers would have been so much more convenient when moving the smoker.
MK : Poor design, terrible instructions
If assembling IKEA furniture frustrates you, this will drive you insane. This fit my MB smoker, but just barely. Had to assemble and disassemble it a few times before I got it to line up, even put my smoker on its side on a small table to help with the installation. The main bolts that hold it to the smoker bottom have no clearance for a wrench or socket once they get close to being tight, so you'll have to use needle-nose pliers or similar to get it fully tightened. Once I finally got it to fit and tight, it seems to be a serviceable stand. Not sure it was worth the frustration...
JRR : Great for the 30 inch Masterbuilt electric smoker
The stand raises the smoker up off the ground which makes it easier to use the bottom rack and easier to remove and clean the smoker. It also has wheels which makes it easier to move. Well worth the money.
Kindle Customer : Directions are a nightmare…
Directions to put together are a bio to follow and what should have taken a half hour took two and a half hours running back and forth getting the necessary tools, not just a screw driver was needed. And know they send you parts for a 30” and 40” grill so not all parts will be used, it would have been much more helpful if there were written directions instead of diagrams.
Alexander Haynes : Nice stand, minor flaw
This stand was great for raising my MB electric smoker off the ground. The materials are good and sturdy. However the two wheels weren't properly drilled in the center, so after mounting them, one wheel rolls perfectly while the other rubs on the stand. I will have to modify the wheel or the stand leg to make it work as it should.
Treeswan : Great product, but difficult to assemble!
The stand is made with solid metal parts. It fit my smoker. Contrary to the item description, the stand does not fit all masterbuilt smokers. The directions really suck! The images are small and are misleading! This unit should have taken thirty minutes to assemble. It took me two hours to complete.
A. Hawkeye : Work well but overpriced and lacking assembly instructions
A bit overpriced for what you get, and the assembly instructions are terrible, but it’s a must have to get this cooker up to a usable level. Happy with how it functions and the wheels make it easy to move into storage. It would be nice if they simply included these when you order the cooker.
Frank : Makes it easier to use the smoker
There seems to be a bit of confusion on assembly of this. The way i did it was i laid the smoker upside down. put on the 4 legs, making sure the legs with wheels are on the rear of the smoker. Tighten the bolts hand tight so the legs can still move a bit. There are 6 braces in the kit, pick the set of 4 that match the leg spacing. Tighten each leg hand tight. After all pieces are mounted tighten the legs, then tighten the braces (the braces are slotted holes and will take up any slop in the assembly). About the only thing i used the instructions for was to tell what fasteners to use. I like how the smoker is sup off the ground now and i dont have to bend all the way down. Was the stand really a necessity, no but it is a nice extra.
mb : Fits perfectly
I have the 30” smoker with digital unit on top (no window on door) and this was cake to install. I was a little worried when reading some of these reviews saying it wouldn’t work, but it’s all bogus. My 6 year old could do this with one arm behind his back.
Ignore the long pieces, use the right holes (large holes for front legs, elongated slots for rear legs), leave all just finger tight until everything is together, then tighten when done. Easy.
