Questions about KitchenBoss Vacuum Sealer Machine for Foods Preservation Automatic Vacuum Sealing System, with Starter Kit Include 20 Pcs food Vacuum Bags(Coral)
Q:
Is anyone having issues with the machine not vaccuming? It’s really upsetting since I do not use it often.
Answer: I am having the same problems. It works on the small bags, but has problems with removing the air on the large bags. It worked for about 20 bags then stopped. I had a replacement machine sent, but it too has the same problems. I cannot figure out what is causing it other than there is too large a volume of air to remove from the large bags. Would I buy it again, no. I would spend the money on a better quality machine.

It's saved me a lot of money because I will make big batches of different soups and freeze them and they're ready to thaw and heat when I don't feel like cooking. It works great when there is a good deal on hamburger, chicken etc. I recommend it.
Answer: You can use this on both the pre made bags and the rolls. I have had no issue with any of the bags/rolls I have purchased. I have used most everything but zip lock. Vacuums and seals them all.

On seal only mode; Does it work with any type of packaging (just like a heat selling machine) or only with be those special vacuum bags?
Answer: Hello! About this question of yours. He applies to many types of bags, but want to exclude the air inside the bag, you can only use the vacuum bag, other types of bags, only the sealing operation!
Answer: If you don't know that the plastic you are using is designed to be used in a vacuum sealer DO NOT USE IT! It could completely melt and ruin your machine. Get some rolls of bag material and make ANY size bag that you need.
Answer: I used to seal my heat and cold packs that leak and that have a thicker plastic and it works. So yeah, I guess it just like a sealing machine.
Answer: Worked with a couple kinds I had left from my old one
Answer: I used different brand bags without any problems.
Q:
Can be used at 220AC?
Answer: resistance. Without a step down transformer or something to get it to 120volts
Answer: I dont know, sorry.
Answer: Dont think so, but dont really know
Q:
I am new to vacumn sealers. Can I use this to seal a bag of soup?
Answer: Yes. KitchenBoss vacuum sealer has several modes :"INCHING" for soft foods like bread; "VAC SEAL" for wet & dry foods like frozen meat, vegetables; "SEAL ONLY" for sealing without vacuuming. So you you can press "SEAL ONLY" to seal soup.
Answer: The sealer has a wet setting, but I don't know what would happen if you try to seal soup since the top of the bag has to be horizontal to seal. I would suggest freezing the soup first in a container, then transferring to the sealing bag.
Answer: Yes, you can certainly use it to seal using the “seal only” button. You would not want to do the inching or vacuum seal as it would pull the liquid out of the bag! So just use it to seal the bag only.
Answer: I personally have never used it for soup but if you do you cannot use the inching setting so so it doesn't squeeze the liquid out... Just put in and seal that's all... Carefully without putting bad downward so don't spill out
Answer: I do not know. I use my sealer for meats
Answer: Garbage!!!
Q:
The foam ring dislodged. How do I fix it?
Answer: Our products come with a spare washer in the package so you can change it whenever you want!
Q:
Can you use rolls instead of bags for this product? If so what size would be best?
Answer: Yes, rolls are fine. I use them. There are 2 sizes most often available: about 10" wide and about 6 "
Answer: Yes you can use rolls. It will seal both the narrow and wide rolls.
Answer: ANY SIZE
Answer: This never did work for me. Would not seal at all. Buy at your own risk.
Q:
What containers can you use with the kitchen boss other than the bags?
Answer: KitchenBoss vacuum sealer set coming with a accessory hose(the connector size is standard size) so that you can use it for the Vacuum Seal Food Storage Containers such as foodsaver brand.
Answer: I only use Kitchen Boss
Q:
Can I use thick plastic ziplock type bags with this? Or do I need to get special bags?
Answer: Thick bags would would but not any the have a closure on top. The plastic bag needs to be sealed at the top with the machine. Zip lock or hefty would not work unless you cut off the closure at the top .
Answer: I have never tried a Ziploc bag. I think yes, but the plastic rolls are a lot cheaper than Ziploc bags.
Answer: You need to buy special bags. I bought a large lot on amazon and they were inexpensive and worked well.
Answer: special bags
Answer: Specialbags
Q:
What to do if liquid gets in the pump? A small amount got in because I didn't use the inching button and I panicked and clicked open to cancel.
Answer: Hello
Answer: You can use a small amount of vinegar and water to simply clean it. This machine is pretty hearty and I’m sure the manufacturer accounts for a small amount of liquid to go into the mechanism. If the machine is functioning normally continue to use as normal. If the machine is not functioning at all, contact the manufacturer for instructions or recommendations
Answer: I have had the center section get liquid in it and just wiped it out and left it open to dry. Didn't use it for a couple of days. No problems.
Answer: Wipe off liquid especially around the seal. Readjust the bag and reseal.
Answer: I am not sure. I have not had this happen.
Q:
how many watts ?
Answer: KitchenBoss Vacuum Sealer Machine is 100Watts.
Answer: It is 100 wats
Answer: I don’t know but it works great. Charge last a long time
Q:
Will this seal mylar bags?
Answer: Can be sealed. If you need to vacuum, you have to use the kind of vacuum bag with grid pattern. The size of this seal can be sealed up to 30cm/11.8inch vacuum bag.
Answer: It didn’t properly seal any bag so I returned it. The seal was not solid and came apart easily.
Answer: I have only used the bags that came with the unit or some of the same brand. Honestly , even those don't always result in an airtight vacuum. Wish I had purchased a better unit.
Q:
I want to seal powdered milk in mylar bags. Will this machine work for this application?
Answer: Yes. "INCHING" for soft foods like bread; "VAC SEAL" for wet & dry foods like frozen meat, vegetables; "SEAL ONLY" for sealing without vacuuming. So you can use "INCHING" to seal the milk powder, but don't full it to much.
Answer: Yes just be careful . Don’t fill too high
Q:
can the bags that come with this be boiled (for suis vide cooking)?
Answer: Yes. This machine is awsome!
Q:
Why does the "Seal Only" function still vacuums the bag?
Answer: Because we are designing the sealing machine, we considered that if the sealing is not complete due to some factors (such as water or oil on the bag you are using), there will be a pumping action after sealing to test whether the sealing is completely sealed status! This design can prevent the food from spoiling due to incomplete sealing during the sealing process.
Answer: I think "Seal Only" refers to sealing one end of the bag before you fill it, then "vacuum & seal". We are still trying to figure it out.
Answer: Mine just seals if i push seal only
Answer: It shouldn't. Mine doesn't.
Answer: No it doesn't
Q:
How do i contact kitchenboss for warranty or return? product says it has a 5 year warranty but that's not helpful if you can't contact them.
Answer: Try contacting Amazon.
Q:
Which bag size would be best for 2 chicken breasts?
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: Depends on how quick you want to defrost and also if your cooking them sous vide. Use bigger bag for sous vide (more surface area exposed) or if you want to save space in freezer, use smaller bag.
Answer: I buy the huge rolls and cut my own sizes as I need them.
Answer: Mine never did work, so I cannot answer your question. Hope you have better luck dealing with this company, than I did.

Q:
I want to seal dry milk powder in mylar bags. Will this machine do this type of work?
Answer: Hi Carol, I returned the KitchenBoss because it didn't work properly and the owner's manual tiny and worthless. I ended up purchasing the FoodSaver FM2000, and it is a much better vacuum sealer and the owner's manual is great - it is full of information! The FoodSaver instructions, for dry food, says to place a coffee filter or paper towel at the top of the bag, before vacuum sealing, to prevent the particles from being drawn into the vacuum pump. I am assuming the those instructions would be the same for the KitchenBoss. I hope this helps.
Answer: "INCHING" for soft foods like bread; "VAC SEAL" for wet & dry foods like frozen meat, vegetables; "SEAL ONLY" for sealing without vacuuming. So you can use "INCHING" to seal the milk powder, but don't full it to much.
Answer: Yes just make sure no powder rests on the edge to be sealed
Q:
Hello, I justo bought one of your productos, how can I get my invoice?
Answer: Amazon will send it to you
Q:
Where can I get the parts for the canning jars
Answer: KitchenBoss vacuum sealer set coming with a accessory hose. Sorry we are not clean about what parts you say. Please contact seller directly so that we can help you better.
Answer: This product isn't for canning. It's a vacuum sealer and uses plastic bags (some supplied with product).
Q:
What brand of vacuum system canisters can be used with this machine? Foodsaver canisters are not compatible.
Answer: The ziplock universal vacuum sealer system comes with a universal adapter tool. It fits most machines and although I am not sure of the specific kitchen boss vacuum sealer you have, with an adapter tool it should work with your machine.
Answer: It doesn't do canisters. Only does bags.
Q:
I see in the video that the accessory hose can be used to vacuum seal plastic containers. Does anyone know if Amazon sells compatible containers?
Answer: Dear friends, we expect to launch our sealed cans in January 2021! A perfect design is being tested in production to ensure that every parameter meets high standards
Q:
Is this machine noisy?
Answer: No, not noisy! Obviously a little noise, but not excessive.
Answer: No. Quieter than my ancient seal-a-meal that I replaced with the KitchenBoss.
Answer: I sent mine back it didn’t seal all the time or even vacuum all the time
Q:
hola, usted tiene bolsa selladora que sea transparente de ambos lados? muy buena su maquina, funciona perfectamente
Answer: Hola, Las bolsas que compre en esta pagina son transparentes por ambos lados , la maquina me ha funcionado muy bien
Answer: Hola! La máquina es muy buena para pequeñas muestras o sobrantes de comidas y demás cosas.
Q:
could you seal bags of blueberries with this machine?
Answer: Yes. You can seal blueberries with KitchenBoss vacuum sealer machine.
Answer: Yes. Just use the "inching" button opition. Tip: to keep blueberries whole in the bag, freeze fresh blueberries on a cookie tray for approximately 30 minutes, put in bag and seal.
Answer: Yes if it worked. It has a nice feature of taking just a little air out if you push the button a couple of time so it didn’t squeeze the blueberries but then it wouldn’t seal I sent mine back and got a food saver one but it doesn’t have that option of inching they call it. They do have an attachment that you can such the air out of jar or plastic containers then you do t have to worry about it sealing
Answer: Sure, you could seal them but would want to use the inching feature so you do not crush them by removing all of the air.
Answer: Yes, you can seal anything. The packaging shouldn't crush them.
Answer: Yes but don't use the cheap bags
Q:
Does anyone have the Manufacturers contact information?
Answer: I don’t know but it works fine
Product reviews of KitchenBoss Vacuum Sealer Machine for Foods Preservation Automatic Vacuum Sealing System, with Starter Kit Include 20 Pcs food Vacuum Bags(Coral)
JOANNE : Works well
Bought to replace my Ziplock brand vacuum sealer that finally died after 5 years. This product works just as well as far as suction power and has the bonus feature of “inching” that allows you to control how much you vacuum. We were able to seal stuffed shells without mashing them, so you can seal cakes and other delicate items.
Martino C : Not Good
Was junk read other reviews before I bought it . They all sound good. But dead wrong. Would no recommend.
Angie : Too short suction time
I really like this machine but it doesn't seem as if the suction last long enough to get the air out. It works very good on dry food. Bags get ice build up in them because of amount of air left in them.
Pam J : Works Fine for a Budget Vacuum Sealer
For the most part, this item works fine. It has its glitches, but once you understand the glitches, its easy to work through them. It doesn't provide the best seal so you have to perform the seal function twice. So far for the past few months frozen vacuumed food has lasted without freezer burn. If you plan to perform ALOT of vacuum sealing, then this product is not for you.
Sharon Kloepfer : INCONSISTENT OPERATION
The vacuum/seal option did not work. Sometimes the machine would create the vacuum but then the bag would not seal. The inching option created the vacuum needed, but some of the vacuum lost before bag sealed. Very frustrating. We returned this item because it did not do what we expected. This is not mean for wet foods.
Christy : It works ok...but requires manual intervention
My expectation was you put the items you want to seal into the bag, place the edge of the bag into the vacuum sealer and press a button. Boom-sealed. Not so much with this unit. It's finicky. You have to manually press down each end and sometimes it still doesn't seal at all or not properly. The gasket gets out of place often and has to be reseated. The unit came with one replacement gasket and it's a good thing it did because the gasket that was inside the unit arrived crimped - so we had to replace it immediately. I would of returned this but hubby said it wasn't worth the effort for the few times he will use it. I am disappointed in the purchase.
AMW : So Far, So Good...
The machine works well so far. I messed up sealing a few times but got it down eventually. The bags seem to work. Will do a check for freezer burn once the items are in the freezer a few weeks.
CoolNJ : KitchenBoss Vacuum Sealer Machine INCHING, IS IMPORTANT
KitchenBoss Vacuum Sealer Machine INCHING, IS IMPORTANT. WORKED WITH THE PROVIDED BAGS. WAITING TO TRY OTHER BAGS. WORKED FOR ME. INCHING IS VERY IMPORTANT. OR YOUR SEALED WEED & CAKES. TURNS TO DUST.
jennifer snyder : Good bargain
Got my sealer in yesterday and was excited to use it. I included a video.....make sure you clamp the sides down before trying to use and I show that in the video. The first part shows it won’t vacuum until it’s securely fastened. I’ve been wanting one of these for awhile. It’s just me and my daughter so we don’t go through as much as I buy at times. Buying in bulk or things on sale saves money but not if you can’t use it all! This also helps eliminate big boxes as you can take the items out and reseal them. I do that with ground meat. I’ll divide a 5lb order into several small ones. I can now seal those into those small orders to grab at my convenience. Very happy with my dealer purchase as it seems to be just as good as my parents and they spent about $200 on theirs
Marilu : Love this!
PRO: Love the bold color. This is very easy to use and not to big to have on your counter. Easy directions. I took so many photos bc my fridge was so full when I started and now...I have so much room! You can also cut open and just heat seal if you have enough room. CON: It is loud. I have a small kitchen also, so maybe that's why it sounded so loud. Or it may just be loud. I dont mind, I'm addicted to this. I re bagged into vacumed sealed bags. It has left me with a better way to organize. I already bought more of the bags, plus it came with a good amount of starter bags. Enjoy it!
Marie : The Jury's Out
The jury's still out. We replaced a broken Foodsaver with a new Foodsaver, but, it was too complicated to use, so we returned it for this. This doesn't have the suction power we are used to. We are going to keep trying since there is a longer return window for this item. I want to like it, because it is more like the original Foodsaver we had, and easy to use. I wish it had a roll dispenser and cutter.
Alicia T. : Hard to seal bags
It's hard to seal without vacuuming, when using the refill rolls where you have to seal both edges of the bag. The instructions are very cryptic and not very useful. When it works it's pretty good, but it's a fight to make it work sometimes. It tends to error (all lights flashing) about every 4th or 5th attempt, and you have to pull the plug to reset. I don't know if I'd buy it again.
Marti : So far I'm delighted!
Bought this as an alternative to Foodsaver- they're great, but prices areto high. So far I'm very happy with the performance of this sealer/vac. Maybe it won't last as long as my old top-of-the-line Foodsaver, but it's compact and I can afford to replace it if I have to. Plus it' matches my red kitchen!
Cheryl Littmann : Not a good purchase
It often does not seal. I had it for awhile in abox. When I started to use it I figured this is mot a goid sealer. However I do use the jar sealer and its not the easiest but it does work with that. This was not a cheap purchase. Very disappointed in this purchase. Would not recommend
Mark L : Vacuum did not last on sealed food
I liked the size of this machine. My other sealer was bigger and diffucult to store.I read many reviews and thought it would work well for us. Unfortunately the vacuum did not last in my freezer. Meaning the tight vacuum on the food that protects the contents from frost and freezer burn did not last even 2 weeks. The seal was still intact but the vacuum did not last. I returned the defective machine for a refund.
Kayla : Suction power is a bit unreliable
If there are air pockets in the corners of the bag, the machine is not strong enough to suck the air out of the corners unless there is a clear and unobstructed path to the air. Not a big deal, just requires an extra step of moving the food items around in the bag before sealing. I also noticed that sometimes a little bit of air gets back in the bag after sucking but before sealing. While the suction power isn't that strong, it works well enough, especially considering the price.
Ellen P. : functions as well as expected
it functions.... suction isn't all that terrific, but fine for most things... seals decently... comes with extra gasket and a hose and fitting for vac-sealing containers... kind of clunky to use, have to push down both ends hard to lock it before vac/seal... largest bag you can use isn't really big enough for bulky items like a decent size roast, or even small whole chicken... can make a bag as long as you want, but max width is about same as a gallon ziploc bag, not really ideal for bulk freezing... fine for steaks, chicken parts ect
warfrat : works great
Bought kitchen boss vacuum sealer to seal smoked salmon, works great would recommend to all fishermen and women. Would buy again also bought kitchen boss vacuum bags. Both great products.
Fancy : Very easy to use and pretty too don’t work after using twice
I love it, very easy to use and very reliable. Sure makes a difference in freezer room, can’t wait for strawberries ???? I have used this twice and no longer works Try to use vacuum sealer after I froze the raspberries and won’t seal and juice all over the place I take back my earlier review this thing is the lowest quality of any I have ever used not happy I’m sorry about bad review but if you learn how to use this property it is wonderful I love it
alice c. : Nice product and can recommend for freezing fresh meats!
It does its job pretty well for the value of the item! Fresh meats sealed and frozen day of purchase when defrosted are as fresh as when bought! Haven’t tried the more fragile foods like veggies, but I don’t think I have any hesitations. Can recommend this product to others. Easy to use, even older folks can easily use!
leslie portier : The section on this machine is amazing
It is well worth the money I bought it shouldn’t really fast and I already started using it for my fruit that I like to store in the freezer try to use in freezer bags I want my fruit to taste fresh and that it is no long does it taste like it’s freezer I recommend this to anybody who is looking for something simple and easy and who wants fresh fruits and vegetables or even ????
gadget girl : usually need to seal twice
Does not completely seal once. There is almost always a small hole along the seal line where it didn't melt the plastic together. So I always do it twice.
I do like how it lets you 'step' you way thru sucking out the air before you seal.
Nice and compact.

Amazon Customer : Great for dry food, not so much for wet
Update 6mos later: I tried again with raw chicken. Same thing...sucked out the juices, making a mess, and didn't seal. I ended up using seal only and put it in a freezer bag for extra protection. I'll use it for dry or frozen only and will be buying a different product to seal wet foods. Did really well with beef jerky and already frozen fish and meat that I wanted to break-up into smaller portions. Not so good for chopped onions and peppers. It kept sucking the juices into the unit, making a bloody mess everywhere. I ended up just sealing and not using the vacuum function. I really wanted to like this. But will now only use it for dry foods until it dies, which from what I'm reading in other reviews, won't be long.
Kindle Customer : Love this model.
I love this one. Much easier to use than my old one and takes up half the space. I like the "inch" button where you can take out just a little air at a time. Really handy for wetter items. You can also seal without vacuum. This particular brand also seals closer to the edge of the bag which means you use less. I can now use pint bags for a lot of my food prep instead of quart bags.
FXDSE07 : Great unit for the price
Very surprised when I took it out of the box. For the price I was expecting less of a unit than what I saw. Very sharp looking and well built. Also came with its own cloth cover and extra sealing gasket in addition to sample vac bags. Very easy to use, I put it work when it was delivered. Just made 25lbs. of different sausages and it was perfect for what I needed.
Arnold Sindler : Dry the contents
Learned the difficult way that the moisture in the food to be sealed should first be semi-removed by dabbing on a paper towel before entering into the machine. My first use where I did not do this resulted in some liquid entering the well in the machine. Had to carefully remove the fluids and clean the surface.
Ralph R : Works as expected at half the price
Simple and easy to use. I got this because I’m constantly throwing away food after buying in bulk. For the longest time I’ve held off on the traditional “FoodSaver” brand due to cost. This seems to do just as good a job. My major test will be the next avocado i open. Happy with it and worth the money

Alain R Gardner : It seals moist items perfectly
I bought this to replace a Foodsaver that just couldn't seal a moist item. The Foodsaver vacuum sealer would pull moisture up through the bag (it's a vacuum after all) and then it's heater element wouldn't form a complete seal. This less expensive item does form a complete seal, even as you watch the moisture being drawn up through the top of the bag. It also has an "inching" feature which is nice for packing bread, rolls, etc. You can remove air until the bread would start to crush, then touch the "seal only" button and the machine will do the rest. The only thing I don't like about it you have to have a hand free to push down each end to fully latch it down. So cheap and a good value for money. I'd buy it again.
June H : Dud.
Unfortunately, this turned out to be a dud. Confusing seals, confusing indicator lights, unclear directions, NOISY — and zero suction. Zero. One of my rare missteps in online ordering.
C. Zheng : I'm returning it. The seal only function doesn't work properly
I got this on black Friday and it seemed like a good product from all the reviews. This thing feels like a quality product when I hold it in my hands. The manufacture is generous with some extra vacuum sealing bags and a carrying pouch. I really wanted to like this thing, however, this particular model seems to have some issue with its programming. The seal only function doesn't just seal, it would always vacuum for 10 seconds before the seal is done and this is a big problem. Basically when I have the bag vacuumed to the point where I like it, and ready to seal, it would basically go on and suck out additional air and it either results moister/liquid getting sucked out of the bag or it crushes the content in the bag. Maybe this is just my bad luck with one particular machine.
Swe : Doing great job!!
What I love about this vacuum sealer is small but doing great job. Especially can sealed to really close to the edge, means saving plastic. I own other type that didn't allow me to adjust where it sealed of over 1" of plastic waste. I read some reviews said sometimes it won't vacuum the air out. It happened to me but I figured it out. Its not machine flaws but turn my out first seal was not perfect because I rinse the bag and when the bag wet it won't seal perfectly.
Fong : So far so good it works great
I bought this to replace the one that I had previously buy Foodsaver. I’ll let you know after I use it. The food saver last for eight years. I will let you know how this one works - I also bought the protection plan For three years ????
Steve : K.I.S.S.
This replaced an old brand name that costed three times as much. It took me 3 tries to get it right but once I did I resealed 16 pounds worth of BBQ to freeze very tightly. I love the open lid set in and close lid design. I am going to order and use their brand of bags too.
Jeff : GREAT value for the $$$
We did our own deer processing this year. Made 20 logs of summer sausage, 40 lbs of jerky, cut the backstraps into sections etc. I needed a good vacuum sealer to preserve all of our hard work or itd all be in vain if it doesn't put a quality seal on each package. I was absolutely amazed at how well this unit worked out.; I have a friend who was helping that has a much more expensive sealer than this and he said it outperformed his. Quick shipping and great product.
Virginia Marshall : Easy to use
You have to make sure it clicks when closes. It was easy to use. Still learning how to use best. It doesn’t have a cancel feature like my old one but will open with the button
E. Pepe : Very easy to use!
I love the idea of vacuum-storing food, but I didn't want to deal with a learning curve for a new kitchen gadget. I find this product to be very simple to use (only 3 buttons). I only needed to spend a few minutes with the manual and it works great on all types of food.
Angie : Too short suction time
I really like this machine but it doesn't seem as if the suction last long enough to get the air out. It works very good on dry food. Bags get ice build up in them because of amount of air left in them.
Kathy : Great food preserver
I like the tapping feature because you can perserve items without crushing them.
MarNan : Seals but no suction
This machine seals bags, but after wasting 8 bags, I have come to the realization that it will never actually suction the air out. As that was my main reason for buying it...........I am totally disappointed. Cannot recommend this product.

dc11219 : Avoid the product, waste your money!
The machine is not working at all!!! It can only vacuum 10% of air from a bag. It is very hard to push down and the pump is very loud and not strong at all. Avoid this product! Not working, a bad design!

T Michelle : Awesome little machine
Loved this machine, worked very well with the extra rolls I bought with it, seal was great also. Have not had it long enough to know how well the seal will hold up in the freezer though.
Sharon K. Barrow : Easy Peezy
I live alone and got tired of wasting food. I started researching vacuum sealer systems and decided to get this one because it sounded small and simple. The sealer doesn’t take up much space, it looks great and it’s ridiculously easy to use. I am really glad that I got it and can see the value of being able to reseal bags of chips and other snacks. I can’t believe how much space is saved in the freezer when veggies are vacuum sealed before freezing.

michele : Garbage
Awful. Loud & barely removes any air. Suction is pathetic. I can get more air out using a ziplock bag. Total waste of money
